for those washers.....could probably find/make something similar/cheaper...
...a machine shop and a scrap block of steel....?
Welcome to Bernie's Lapidary Supply Co.

Thanks classwife... I like those dapping blocks. I kind'a made my own by dimpling a block of wood with my metal shaping hammer (ballpein end) then used it to shape the washer. The washers I’m using are 20¢ each, wood was scrap, and the hammer from my father’s tool box… guess I’ll skip the steel for now, but I think it would certainly work better.

I don't think those are compartments. I think it is open all the way around. Both pieces are cylindrical.

Looks like 2 cylinders. Heating coil/wick in the inside cylinder and Juice on the outside. some small hole to get to the wick that is in the inside cylinder. If the wick is porious enough to wick then the 2 compartments will seek "equilibrium.

Or I missed something,,,,,,,,,

I don't even see how the wick gets wet..... We apparently need more than just a picture here..... Are the black dots O-rings?

OK DSUv3 is done, and it works good, and holds 3.5ml.

Yeah it called a vacum :)
Air has to travel the passage way to release liquid to the vacum created.

Yes, think of an upside down T, that is the passageway for the juice to travel. The top of the T inverted has SS mesh inserted into it, the wick set ontop of that allowing the juice to flow upwards to the coil.

Except that is v3 and Dan is currently on v4. I do not know what changes are being made to v4 as of yet.

Actually it looks like the coil will not be secluded from the main body. It looks like it's o-ringed into the center tube and accessed easily by unscrewing the bottom.

Only two tubes and two main metal pieces, as opposed to 3 tubes and 4 metal piecs used in v3
