I have been Dripping for awhile now using Empire mods 1.5 ohm bridge less Atomizers which have a unsealed bottom. I recently found some atomizers on Altsmoke that have a sealed bottom they are a little more expensive and my question is, is there any actual risk of using unsealed atomizers other than having to clean the threads from time to time? Is it worth the extra cost for the sealed bottoms?

Where you least expect it....
The only benefit of a sealed post on an atomizer is to reduce leaking. Only risk with an atomizer with a unsealed post. Is if you flood it and let it leak to the point to where the e-liquid can get into your device. Which may cause a short.

My best suggestion is to shop around first before making your final decision.

So. If it says unsealed is that what you must use for bottom feeders? But both the unsealed and the sealed are drip Atties???

You don't necessarily have to use them with bottom feeders. Yet, they are the only ones that will work with them. Since they obviously have to be fed from the bottom in order for the whole system to work correctly.

Yes, both can be used for dripping.

Great. Now I can try any ole unsealed atty I want, even if ive never heard of it, and it will work on my new bottom feeder Because I do love to try things and scrounge around myself but I didn't know what the heck to look for. Also I won't be upset when the threads are wet on my feeder. I simply do not know. I'm sure it'll all sink in when I get it in my hands and play.

My suggestion would be to look in this sub-forum for a better understanding of how to use a bottom feeder. Lot of helpful tips and people here:

Liquid Feed APV Discussion

You don't how to worry about your threads getting wet. It's not going to effect your bottom feeder at all. Biggest problem your going to run into is if you flood your atomizer and the excess e-liquid leaks out and dampens your pocket.
