Self conscious vaping in my car and public.

Im still a little self conscious about it too. But I have only been doing it since last Friday night and I live in a very tiny small town in northern Nevada and I swear I am the only one that vapes out of the 5000 people that live here. Im sure Im not actually but I feel like I am. But hey at least Im not smoking anymore right?

I was in the car with my 18 yo son today and told him about this thread. (he does not smoke or vape) The conversation began about the windows being tinted and how I am surprised that my thighs do not get burnt when I get in and the car has been sitting in the Florida sun all afternoon.

So I mentioned this thread ans how no one can notice if I am vaping due to the tinting.
He says, to my shock, "it is the same thing" (meaning as smoking!)
I said "no! it is not"
He said "I can still smell it when we are driving and you use the e-cig" I said "yes, but I only vape fruit flavors so how is that different than the fruit air freshener or the fruit gum that I can smell when you chew it?"

I was really shocked by his comments! He actually has several friends who vape.

Bottom line it is my car so I will vape in it if I choose and do not care if others see me or what they think even if it is my son.

I use to get a lot of odd looks and comments when I vaped at work...I no longer get them because they made a policy to ban the use of all tobacco and nicotine products in the building.

I get weird looks when I'm out and bout with my mvp, but every so often I get a thumbs up from a fellow vaper. the looks from the cars next to me at red lights are priceless LOL

Agreed. Have a 10 year old boy and don't feel like explaining it to him, so my vaping is on the D/L at home for now. I also tried not to smoke around him, but wasn't always successful. My town is medium sized, very conservative and I am somewhat known. At this point I won't vape anywhere you can't smoke and not in public at all, except for in the car. I am on the prowl for a great performing and super small stealth mod to use on the D/L around the public, when coaching baseball at the ballpark or other times I would have to "disappear" to grab a grit.

I think what I'm doing is better. I get looks in bars sometimes when I don't have a drink so I guess to each their own

They want to pull me over for making fruit smoothy clouds in my car, they are more than welcome to waste their time.

I vape in my truck, home, in the work truck and at the shop but I don't vape in public buildings (stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc.) I just don't want to deal with the countless people that will question what the H I'm doing haha

its not a question of enforcing it, its more like what kind of rule can we put in place to stop something that 90% of people in the building don't do. They just want to add Vaping to the list of cant do's.

I would question my motivation for remaining with that employer. I have a history of masochistic relationships with employers, and that is a danger sign. Analogy-- abusive marriage.

They cannot prevent you from vaping in private. And, if caught, you can then use the patch/gum analogy.

Doesn't bother me at all.... Most times I don't watch to see what other people are saying or if they are making faces. I don't smoke, I vape and if they don't like it they can look elsewhere. I don't vape around anyone looking for attention.... mostly at home, at work or in my car.

I was a passenger in my buddy's car and we were riding down the road. I was dripping so an unusually large (to most people) cloud of "smoke" (to most people) was coming out of the car. My buddy looked at me and said "everybody is looking at us." I just kinda laughed and continued.

I don't seem to mind vaping in public...I get weird looks anyways, so why not add to it...lol
