update: So I went on the date...he didnt smoke in front of me ( I felt kinda bad about that...I mean a week ago I was smoking too) but I did vape in front of him. He didnt say much about it. He just told me about a guy at work who does it during his 12 hour shift, in order to get threw the shift. I only felt a little funny because he refrained and I didnt. Aside from all that I felt comfortable vaping. I think its a matter of getting use to it. I know I'm not doing anything wrong but everyone else doesnt really know that.

ps. I had a good time and there will be a second date..haha

vaping my little heart out right this minute <3

Liberating isn't it?

I've also gotten the "crack pipe" comment. I really don't think many folks have seen a real crack pipe. I suppose that's actually a good thing.

I will say that I can relate to the vaping and driving scenario. I find myself keeping my ecig low when I'm driving. I had a cop turn around and follow me about a mile and a half until I pulled in my driveway last night. I hadn't done anything, it was just late at night and I think he was bored. THAT'S when I don't care to deal with cops.

I would honestly expect them to assume it was a weapon or something and give me an extra hard time while completely ignoring anything I say. That's just how some of them are where I am.

Here they've been known to shoot first and ask questions later. Luckily, I have white hair and now look my old age, so it might be helpful. I do get weird looks from people when I'm driving, but I don't care. When I'm out of the car, I vape with the smokers and in designated smoking areas. I've actually never gotten any questions from anyone I don't know. I can flash a mean look and it scares people away. :)

Don't vape in public if you feel uncomfortable. But if you want to make baby steps then start out slowly, like vaping with friends in a restaurant booth or in a bar. Most restaurants have no problem whenever I use my Riva. I think it would be a big problem, though, if my mod looked like a cigarette. I actually enjoy when people ask what I am up to in a supermarket aisle. It is a good way to pass on the good word, so to speak. In fact last year when I stepped out of the Amtrak for a smoke break with the rest of the smokers no one said a thing to me. I felt left out, but I suppose they all knew what it was and just accepted it.

At a neighborhood tavern, I found most people don't mind vaping. But at my work, absolutely not. I work at an insurance company and no distinction is made between smoking and nicotine patches and gum for our health insurance premiums (But we can get the pills for free if we sign up for the company quit smoking program). I have to go make a 5 minute drive off the company property to get my vape on.

Tacoma Wa,
I live in a medical marijana state and they sell Ego's on craigslist with pot liquid.
So i try and hide it alot in public so people don't think i'm doing that.
At work i am open to vape in the smokers hut and everyone knows what i'm doing, and someone asks at least once a day what flavor i am "smoking".
