Sell Price, GG Items.

Hey Guys, I know we generate a lot of discussions about buying/selling GG products and their prices, and I thought we could make a thread where we could "appraise" people's stuff, only if they want us to, so that for those of us who are interested in selling things at a fair price can do so.

I understand that this might be controversial or maybe even against ECF rules, so just to be clear, this is not the classifieds section, nothing here is for sale yet; this is a place to show/tell what you've got and ask people what would be a fair price for it, and all opinions are welcome. After all, we are the experts on this stuff. We all know we can quickly sell any GG product for more than we've paid, but some of us aren't interested in that per se.

So, if everybody, including Imeo and the rest of the community is OK with it. I would like to start the appraisal thread.

First up is my infamous UFSv2 that I have been having difficulties with; just with getting a Boge carto to work in it. Atties are working as per usual. I have a video on the way documenting the issue and you can read aboot it here:

Anywho, I know a guy who is going to sell me an Ody with expansion kit for $220 plus whatever shipping is going to cost me. A great deal and pretty much as fair as it gets, pretty much retail. I am going to sell my UFS and try to make the money for it.

The UFS is complete, without ANY scratches or dings. Literally pristine. I also have the clear window for it (which is a bit worse for wear, but has no cracks or leaks. Included will be two (2) Atty extenders from COV, the O'Rings for Attys and the extenders, plus a replacement O'ring kit, of which I have used a #4 and a #8.

If I add up all the parts individually from COV they come to $256.00 US. So, given all the facts and figures, would you guys say it is ethical to sell this discontinued Gem for $220.00 (or less or more?) for the sole purpose of buying an Ody?

off topic, but....try to take your buddy up on the nice offer for the ody AND seriously reconsider selling your ufs. if, and only if, you can't find another from a friend or in the classys down the road, you may live to regret parting with it. ufs is perfection for what role it was designed to play and how it goes about doing it.

I know, I have thought about it so much and I hate to part with something so great and discontinued to boot, but it really isn't for me. At my Vape-pace I go through a Joye 510 atty in 5-6 days and it's really not cost-effective for me. I was able to switch to cartos on my Reos, which last a week, but I think I have to get something rebuildable so I can go back to using my GTS as my #1 device as it should be. the Only Other thought I had was to get a patriot rebuildable atty for the UFS but I am told they don't work as well as they let on, and I'm not sure if they work in the UFS.

I paid $175(shipped from Europe mind you) for my UFS and I tought it was very fair...better than fair even,a great deal.

Haha trust me, if I could afford a second GGTS and an Ody I would. I just really think my style is better suited for an Ody.

Anyone else have input on my price?

UFSV2 new was 159.99 which came with both windows. Atty extenders are 6.50 each and o-ring replacement kit is 4 bucks. All before 10% off which is the constant code. So you are looking at 144 + 5.85 + 5.85 + 3.60. Now I am not sure what international shipping is from cov but regular shipping is 3 bucks even if you bought each item on seperate orders and have a total of 2 o-ring kits you are looking at 177.90 shiped again this is if you ordered everything seperate and were shiping in the same country. Now first class international is 6 bucks each so you could add 15 bucks for additional shipping but you are still only at 192.90. Also assuming all the parts ere in stock you could piece together a UFS V2 for 217.80 + shipping that is full connector, collector tank, controll ring, tank base, steel and clear windows, upper body, refilling cap, new top cap, 2 o-ring sets, and 2 atomizer extensions.

Take all that as you will. You are free to sell for whatever you feel is fair.

BTW it still boggles me you are having this issue. Wish I was closer I'd love to swap parts one at a time to see if I could figgure out what was causing your issues.

Thanks dude, I just posted my classies add, I am going to double-check my math and my posts to make sure I listed everything. In any case, I am trying to do a direct swap for an Ody or purchase this set for $220.00 I included in my ad, that after shipping costs, I will use any remaining profit to support my ECF account for another year and/or donate the balance to an E-cig organization.

I really believe Imeo, I think the issue is definitely to do with the cartos. I have did some investigating and I doubt they are even Boges, Two of them were from CanVape, not COV, I just received an order from Bruce yesterday and the cartos are different. In any case, it is working with a Joye 510 AND the original atty that I was having issues with (some off-brand atty from CanVape).

I really appreciate you doing the math for the price, I think I included the control ring and the connector pins separately the first time.

LOL I was bored hope I didn't offend in any way. Either way I can say if I had 2 UFS and no Ody I would be trying for the same trade. Both IMHO are great devices. And on the other end if I had 2 Ody and no UFS I would trade in a heartbeat.

Dude, no offence at all. I wanted honest opinions, maybe other people will use this thread someday for appraisals...Plus, I am a bit of an amateur scientist and I can't stand the idea of incorrect math. Yeah I hit you back on there, thanks. I know, the wrenching was ridiculous. I am ordering a few pairs of rubber tipped needle-nosed and a wrench set.
