"I stand with the over 24 million Americans involved in the vaping industry and support Senator Ron Johnson’s efforts to save the industry by demanding a response from the FDA regarding their recent regulations."

I'm going to sign it, I'm just curious. Who is this petition going to? Are we signing just to show support? In all honesty, I think a subpoena from the committee chair will carry more weight than even a million signatures. Do we know that they haven't responded yet? I thought I saw somewhere that an FDA spokesperson said that they were gathering materials for a response.

I'm just asking because I've had to field a lot of questions about petitions...

Also, who put this one together?

To the best of my knowledge, it was sponsored by the Electronic Vaping Coalition of America which had just filed a law suit against the FDA. I got an email thanking me for signing from Electronic Vaping Coalition of America <jonpaulmorrow@evca.emailnb.com>

FDA spokesman issued a statement that the Agency is crafting a response to Sen. Johnson's request on May 26th. Haven't seen anything more recent.

The EVCA is just new to me, though I see Bill Godshall is on the board. I just have to ask the questions when an org asks for petition signatures, given the history of vaping advocacy and petitions.
