FDA Sen Johnson (R-Wis) demands answers from FDA RE deeming

Well, technically I never promoted it to CASAA's fb page, but it did get posted there, repeatedly, by many people.
Poor Les (and other petition writers) got a lot of general unfriendliness from professional activists wrt "citizen petitions" and what they are worth (hint--not much). Now we see those very same "professionals" sponsoring/promoting their own petitions.
Me I don't care. I just sign.
Can we get back to the topic that was at hand? About the petition: What is the purpose of this one? On the petition page all it has to say is:
So... Is the petition actually going before the FDA? Or is this going to Senator Johnson as a sign of support for his efforts?
If I'm gonna stick my neck out and write this up I want to make sure I'm clear about what I'm putting forward - the first time around.

Sign everything, do everything. We need to do everything we can do if it has any chance of helping.
We also need to get the word out to more than just the vapers who are active on FB and forums.
You could email them and ask, perhaps?

I agree with Les - I want to know the intent of the petition before I do any write up about it. I've seen too many knee-jerk and ill-worded petitions. Not that this is the case here, but if I'm gonna stick my neck out on ECF asking people to sign it, I want to be able to tell them the point of signing it. If it goes directly to the FDA or to Senator Johnson to bolster his position I'm ok with either one - but please make the purpose a bit less vague.

Thank you, Les, Rick, Katya. I want more info as well, tho I did sign. Anything we can do is just a 'gimme' and so I did. If in any way it's helpful to our cause, you bet I'm on board. But before I ask others, particularly non-vapers and/or non-ECFers, I would like more info.

You've been a rather safe haven in a not so quiet storm. I love that you've kept yourself grounded, and truth be known, you've helped me to stay grounded as well. I have a thick skin, and this is all more important than my feelings. I have my moments though, and sometimes I make it a point to remind people that us little people are important too.
Back on topic though, a vague online petition is just odd, so hopefully we get some responses.

I believe we're two days past Senator Johnson's date request for the FDA to respond to the letter he sent them in May, asking for info about the Deeming regs. Anything going on with this?

I have not seen anything as of yet. I've been monitoring Senator Johnson's Twitter feed (Senator Ron Johnson (@SenRonJohnson) | Twitter), and he's been busy in regards to the Orlando shootings, and his appearances on shows about that topic. I tweeted him though. IF I get a response, I'll share, of course.
Look at the header info on the rejection the email. It should provide a reason as to why it wasn't delivered.
