Vapers don't pay tobacco tax, AFAIK. States collected over $12 billion from cigarette sales last year. I'm sure we are viewed as a potential loss as people switch from smoking to vaping (or quitting using their vape). I've expected to see a tax shift onto vape liquid, but it hasn't happened. I guess our numbers aren't enough to worry them yet.

These folks seem as fervent as them PMRC folks when they were petitioning to censor them potty mouths in the music industry. Vaping is the new scapegoat to focus all that angst on and relieve the do gooders of some of their anxiety, for the love of all that is decent, think of the children...puking a little right now after watching just a few minutes of that garbage.

[Rhetorical] Grimm....they're all "lying" to you. It's an excuse, not the full truth. That's why it doesn't make sense (like the India thing he's discussing, but all of it).

Of course they ARE concerned about youth vaping (like creating an even bigger problem than they have with smoking) and youth smoking. But really, there's got to be more. Wait until India's BT (Big corp there) comes up with a solution. They'll switch to it.
