I can't post a thread yet but what a mess I made of my first order!

First, I couldn't know what a pcc was so I just said black. Which is fine now that I know. I read enough to learn that the battery is the long part of the cig. I thought the pcc was the filter bit- but now I know the cartridge/atomizer is one disposable unit and the color depends on the flavor. And the case, I guess, is just that. A case with no extra accoutrements- which I ordered in pink. And then I ordered nicotine levels all over the chart and then sent an email asking if they'd change them all to 4mg. And asked if they would make one of my batteries black and the other platinum. But even if they don't get my weird emails before they ship, it doesn't matter- I'm certain I'll be pleased.

I got a sampler pack of mint, one pack of smilin menthol and one of cola- which I'm looking forward to sharing with the friend who showed me her V4L kit and gave me a new obsession.

OMG LOL! That sounds like what I did today. I ordered all diff nic levels.. just to try what is best mainly. That is really funny! I ordered the wrong kit because I was so anxious to pick my flavors and get it all ordered asap.. so I had to send an email and a PM to try to straighten it out. hhehehe :)

whitby, I'll find out today how my haphazard ordering went. Tracking says my order will be at the house when I get off work! So excited! Can't wait to take everything out of their little boxes and put them back in and take them back out and fit pieces together and charge things up and taste my samples that will likely be knocking me out with Too Much Nicotine.

Did you know the batteries arrive almost fully charged? :)

Put one on the charger and begin using the other. The one will be finished charging long before the one you're using dies. :) :) :)

I'll be 40 in March.....Been smoking since I was 18. I'm an IT guy and smoke because I like to smoke....that 5 minute break every now and then to go outside and clear the head. I have also made many contacts and good friends just by being out smoking and meeting other smokers.

For the last couple years I have been thinking about quitting but I like it too much to stop and I have never tried to stop so I can't say how difficult it really is. In the past I have gone 2 days without one and had no issues not having one but just having something in my hand to keep me busy and when I'm at home on the computer (I live on my machine) I smoke a lot.

So I was roaming the internet and saw an ad for these "E-Cigarettes" so I Googled "E Cigarette Reviews" and away I started reading. I was going to get the "Blu"...actually I did order a Blu starter kit but my first order I messed up the credit card expiration date in the form and or course "Declined". So I did it again and the second time it went through no problem. I was 10 days and nothing...so I email them and they said that since the first order was declined it tagged BOTH orders as declined so it was never sent. I go to a local smoke shop and all they had was an "NJoy" so I bought it.....bad mistake......their regular tobacco flavor is horrible and it came with regular and light tobacco only...yuk....turned me off right away.....did some more research and found Vapor4Life. I really like the "Throat Hit" and the NJoy did not have it unless I took a huge hit from it and it still wasn't what I wanted so I went back to analogs.

Received my V4L Ultimate kit along with 2 x cartomizer boxes (Berry and Fruit samplers) USB charger, USB Pass Through Charger and an extra long battery....all batteries are manual because I read you can get a good/better "Throat Hit" from the manual batteries. The carrying cases (Regular and Chargable)...I like the regular one better because it holds two batteries and 4 carts. The chargable only holds one battery (But its always charging) and 2 carts. If I burn through two batteries in one day then I have a serious problem.

I charge her up and try it...puff, puff.....cough, cough...the throat hit was so intense....yup this is the one for me. I really like having control of how long I can have the atty on with the manual button. And the carrying case tops it all off. The Pina Calada was the first one I used and I can taste it but it not too strong....I went to the "Black Tea" thinking it was going to be nasty and It's actually not to bad. I expected to throw this one away but i havn't yet and have been sucking on it all day.

I'm curious though.....does the amount of nicotine in the cart affect the "Throat Hit" in any way??

Either way....reading these forums are what made me get the VK and I'm glad I did.

Well worth every penny!!!

Now to work on getting refillable carts to play with.

I got a 510 a week ago, and don't get me wrong it is great when compared to an analog any day, but, topping it off every 3 or 4 "drags" gets kind of annoying. Sometimes I have to drive to different branches around a couple of states (I work in IT). I was hoping I could fill up a cart and it would at least last me the two or three hours it takes me to get to a branch.
From what I am gathering from this thread the VK would have done that for me. Is that right? If so, that kinda sucks. The missus isn't too keen on the idea of me buying another PV after just buying one ;) Ahh well, I might revisit the conversation with her in a month or so...
Till then I bought Mint nobacco, and the caramel mocha frapaccino (that is totally not how you spell that!) and the mountain do nobacco from V4L. Funny thing is I ordered the 510 on a Friday, the juice on the Wednesday after and the both got to my house on Friday. Good thing too, with the constant topping off.

like Taryn said a 510 battery to 901/808 adapter (can get em for like $2.50) and a box of cartomizers (even blank cartos)...
or now some of the 510 cartomizers...
or really in all honestly, just try switching out the polyfill in the carts for something else (the stock polyfill sucks)

After doing a bit of reading on this forum. I placed and order for a 510 to 808 adapter and some cartos from another vendor. I received it this morning. I really like my 510 with the blue foam cart mod but I have to say that the ease of the cartos is really nice. I like that with strong flavors like menthol, cinnamon, and eucalyptus I can designate a carto for $1.75 instead of an atty for $8. I find that the flavors are stronger, the throat hit is about the same and the vapor is less. I think I will be using the cartos while in the car or out with friends and the 510 at home and at my desk at work. After trying both I think that there are equal pros and cons on both sides of the argument. It is simply a matter of preference. I do think that it is probably better for noobs to start with the 808 because the 510 does require some tinkering to get it to work at its best while you can screw a carto on the 808 and it is good to go. Thank you everyone for your input, whichever side of the debate you happen to be on.
