Did you have the slightly better luck with a different build in the SMM, or are you still using the clapton?

Yea slightly better. I still get what seems like dry hits but not burnt. Used cotton to make it a bit tight in coil but thinned our the ends pretty good but still not what I expected

Don't make it tight in the coil otherwise the juice can not continue the flow into the coil but ends up trapped at each end of the coil giving you dry hits especially on the 2nd or 3rd hit - you should be able to easily pull the wick side to side without any part of the coil moving.

When you get the cotton pulled through the coil, take one tail in one hand and the other tail in the other hand and pull it back and forth. You will find that at the beginning of pulling it back and forth it will be a bit tight, the more you do it, it will loosen up a bit. Then take a sharp pair of tweezers and thin out the tails. Between those 2, you should be good and the wick should get good capillary action in bringing the juice up to the coils.

Hmm starting to think it was juice. It was tasting bad but using cinnamon toast juice and now it tastes exactly like the cereal
