Good heavens, 18mg??

I know everyone is different but I'd say 18mg through a STM would near kill the average bear.

I have a couple STM's and they don't really come on with the flavor until 40w's or so with the new style coils. Anything over 6mg is gonna be HARSH.
I run 16mg in my STM with the RBA installed no problem with a 1.3-1.8 ohm 28 awg 2.3mm ID coil between 9-14W.

I agree that the prebuilt coils are harsh.

Hello people,

I am still at work now, but i just couldn't help my self and get a small snick pick on fasttech as i found it to be the cheapest so far, claiming that all products are original. (since ECF lists this site in the forum, i just took their word lets say that they are not cheaters):)

So i filled my cart with goodies. Here is what i got so far (i think i don't need further things for now except from juice)

One thing i DIDN'T like on this order was that the TFV4 tank has this as a note ---->> Please note: The security code sticker that is used to identify if the product is authentic from SmokTech was removed by FastTech in purpose.

Any ideas why? The x cube 2 did not have such note nor any other of the selected products.

Used coupon code with 100% success and seems to be working fine.
I also just submitted a new coupon i found flying on the net for 10% off on everything, used that and seems to be fine as well.

So what do you think people? Is my cart good or should i change something? FYI i found somewhere on the fasttech website (which i cannot retrace for a reason) that on 8 or 10 next month everything will be 10% off by default due to 7 years celebration i think. Since i cannot retrace this, please don't hold your breath for it.

Now where can i get some juice???

Thanks,
the metalhead.:headbang:

I buy batteries from them all the time but I'm not sure I'd pick the Smok Cube from them or anyone else.

For power get a Sigelei. Maybe a 150w with TC.

Hi coolerat, are the batteries from this good?
May i know why you wouldn't get the smok x cube from anywhere?
Yeah sigelei looks good buddy. Has a dual battery setup a 510 spring loaded pin and feels great to hold. A local vape shop had it and it felt good. But it had a buzzing sound near the 510.

Have no idea what it was but i was annoyed by it and the menu could have been better. Everything else was good.
Price to what you get between sigelei 150w tc vs smok x cube ii is about the same plus sigelei offers less options smaller screen and a buzz. Not sure if all sigeleis are like the one i was displayed. Hope not because it felt very good to hand.

Thank you,
the metalhead.

I think you did good :)

There's plenty there for a first time setup!

The only thing I think you are missing is the juice and some spare OCC coils.

Later you may well want supplies to get into making your own coils. You may even decide to get a more expensive and refined mod, but for now I'd say you are good to go!

Have fun with it :)

If you want a cool vape and juice to last, I'd suggest a Subtank Mini. It only needs like 25 watts at most, even for low resistance builds. It's super versitile, never leaks, and comes with an RBA deck that's real easy to learn to build on. A 30w device is plenty for a subtank mini, but an istick 50w or even 100w is cheap enough. Don't spend hundreds on your first setup, in case you grow bored with it. You can get a decent setup for $50. Someone suggested the TFV4, it is a performing tank but it's also a massive tank. Most mods are designed for 22mm tanks and the TFV4 is 24mm. Just something to think about, I wouldn't like overhang from my tank on my mod.
I like my stm but suck at the rba building. I run the occ at 40w tho. 25 is tootle puffing. I gotta have it at least 30

Kanger Subtank mini, eVic VTC mini, 2 Samsung 25R, some Koh Gen Do cotton, 28 and 26 awg kanthal A1 resistance wire, eliquid of your choice at least one bottle at 18mg/mL.
I've recently realized running 18mg on stm is suicide. At least if you are vaping over 30w. Just my two cents

Edit: I run my stm at 12mg but don't even recommend it. I'm gonna have to suffer through the 12mg samples I bought recently. Funny how it was fine dripping it. I would recommend maybe 6 to 9mg in stm. That's what I will step down to soon

FYI for other newbies. STM stands for subtank mini. I read the letters of subtank mini and heard it like a billion times so far which i subconsusly read STM as subtank mini without realizing it. I have read this tanks name so many times i feel my mind is in :danger:.
If any newbies (like me) want to get into vaping, no matter which tank you feel its for you, get a subtank mini along with it.:pop:

At least thats what i am going to do. I figured out that one tank has its limitations at some point. And its no fun to limit your self.
A spare tank will do the trick and from all those i read saw and heard subtank mini will do just that.

Thanks,

Yeap, spot on my friend. :thumb:

Now where are those goodies hidden on the net???:matrix:

Anyone could advise if organic juice is any better in any way? Any companies that have them i can get a set of testers from and find whats best for me??

Any ideas what nicotine level should i run for softest setup, "lights" and "reds"? (like normal cigarettes are set to soft, lights, heavy reds)

Thanks,

I find it amusing that so many people don't know how to run medium strength eliquid through a tank.

With the right build on the RBA deck you can put anything in there and get a good vape.

My all day vape (ADV) is 16.6mg/mL and it is kinda weak in the STM because of the open airflow.

Btw:
High strength 36-48mg/mL
Medium 18-24mg/mL
Low 6-12mg-mL
Very low 3mg/mL

There are different opinions on this depending on if someone is a volume vaper (clouds bro) or vaping for nicotine intake. I'm a nic vaper so my suggestion for light would be 12mg and for Red 18mg. If the 18 mg is too strong you can always dilute it to a lower strength.

I noticed you wanted to build your own coils, you will have a lot more flexibility on what strengths you can use because of this.

I smoked between 1 and 2 packs of lights a day for 25 years.

When I switched to vaping 6 months ago I vaped 12mg at 12w on a single coil (mainly a Kayfun v4).

I now vape 12mg on mainly dual coil setups between 25-35w.

Interestingly my juice consumption has not increased. I still average just 3-4ml per day.

Again I vape to get a satisfying nic hit.

I think a lot of people who say you need to go down to 3 or 6mg juice on subohm devices are probably chain vaping all day and getting through much more juice per day.

There's no right or wrong, do what suits you :)

I respectfully disagree. I wouldn't run 24 in anything more advanced than a protank. Could run up to 36. 18 in the nautilus. And 12 in sub ohm tank premades. I would redo this to say in sub ohm tanks or anything that 18 is high. 12 is medium. 6 is low. And 3 is super low (probably good for cloud chasing. As always ymmv and wattage is a huge factor. Pg and vg also affect it. Like most people I'm starting to like higher vg and lower nic in these new tanks. I still run 50 50 and 12 but I'm probably gonna order like 9mg and 70 vg next time. Stepping down does take time as you vape. Some people just continue to step down and that's me included but vaping style does affect this. Would pg vg ratio is that 16mg you are using. I was vaping that before but scrrwed up the ratio cuz I didn't realize my flavorings are pg based. Still figuring out diy

When I get a tfv4 I won't run more than 9mg through those factor coils but I'll probably use 6 lol. Thats just me and ive always vaped harsher than most on this forum. I'll admit my tastes are changing but ive never understood why people they get overdose from vaping 12 through stm. I don't get sick just fairly harsh. And I used to smoke marb reds

My 16.3mg/mL is a 66/33 or 2/3 PG, 1/3 VG

The 24mg/mL I use is a 60/40

The premade coils made for vaporizing large amounts of VG are harsh with anything other than low nic high VG liquid.

Likewise premade coils made for nicotine delivery don't do well with thick liquids.

Different tools different jobs.

So what would be an example of the latter? It seems like everything is made for that high vg nowadays. I heard on some of the subohm tanks if your juice is too thin it will just flood lol. And like I said I'm moving towards high vg and low nic. Its what my vape shop sells and my equipment is good at. I feel like a sheep following the herd. But I'm OK with the big clouds and if it keeps me from smoking. All the better
