Why yes, the Denali is indeed a high quality Mamu mod. I have instructions and a part list for build. Want to practice my soldering some more (granted I got some with this LT) cause I haven't been big on fixing electronics for awhile now.
LT update #2: Took a deep breath and thought about what I was doing. Looked inside of the tube and saw that the grounding ring (looks like a halo around the top of the PCB) was soldered to the board and ran onto the inner tube. Ran my iron around the top of the ring and along the outer edge for a bit..took a hobby flat head and wriggled it out! Re-soldered the pos and neg wires back to the board, re-soldered thhem to the fitting on the cap, screwed in a carto, inserted battery, held everything together with my hands (everything was still sliding up and down the shaft..hehe) fired..and presto! Now I think while I have everything exposed, I am going to put a layer of hot glue over the connection to the board so they don't go anywhere. Hopefully..hopefully, nothing comes lose during or after re-assembly and I can pound the top cap back on..
That top cap is just a press fit? Rather than pound, what about filing it down to a looser fit, and using a quick set epoxy to hold it in place
Don't be, lol. I can't get the switch housing back in the damn tube now..Everything is ready to go, but it wont fit back in there..I put everything away cause I started getting mad. I will go back to it after I get a couple of beers down me later..
More of less, yeah..The new cap that I have fits really snug actually, so I had to use a hammer and buffer to tap it back on. It took a while to get off when I went back to it today.
Well you didn't really think it would go smoothly the rest of the way did you? Although the switch seemss to be something that should be pretty cut and dried.

Yeah, it was a PITA to get out, but once I depressed the button and then twisted and pulled, it came right out..not so much now. I'll probably have to shave something down slightly, or just melt it all. Everything works fine now, but is not in a tube. Just hanging out all loose like..
