Ooh, you know what I just thought of..On top of the PCB there is a metal ring that goes around, like a halo. It's soldered to two points of the board. I'll bet money that it is a ground and is only effective while inside of the aluminum tube..I wonder if there would be an alternate method of grounding it. It's all tailored to the specific application, but where there is a will, there's a way..

Simply you would need to complete the circuit, a metal strip running to the negative, or copper tape should do the trick

But there is no negative, per-se..I think if I can get that ring removed, there should be two negative areas on the board that I would just have to ground out. Realistically..it would be as simple as that, maybe it's just me expecting the worse due to my luck with it as stands, lol. I'll examine it again, tomorrow, and if I can't get it golden..else, I will explore other options. I have a couple of transparent battery boxes that I could fuse together. House the PCB in one and the battery in the other. I dunno, I'm gonna hit the sack, before my brain gets overloaded. I'll re-visit tomorrow, though.

Kegger, MV put an additional product up today. The VV Gripper. Don't know much about it, other than what is on the product page, but it looks bad ....

Yes, but it is expensive, kit is pushing 100 bucks, its made my smoketek

And after the what seems to be the epic failure of the Vmax, im waiting this the jury has done some deliberation on this one

Yeah, that's what I heard..But you would only need to buy the unit and a set of bats..I could hook you up with a charger..ahh, look at me trying to talk you into getting this so I can vape it vicariously through you..lol

It's on my watch list, though. No reviews yet, but I'm skimming the MV forum about it..

And I believe MV has a 15% coupon code that goes through the 27th..

I will admit, it looks pretty sweet. very portable and discreet.

Plus: No stacked batteries, 4amp switch (if its true) and it sits flat.

Minus, I have see what the display looks like yet im guessing it is white LED on black with no backlighting

Why is the Vmax such an epic failure?

Just the impression I have got from many reviews, but I know there have been revision to the vmax made as well. Many reviews have shown that the volts under load are far different from the settings, and stacked batteries with a 5amp switch is just a bit risky. Just what I have read.
