Hawk, Tar....Well, don't know how great of a deal this is..but I found silica and A-1 32awg Kanthal wiring here: 32 gauge A1 Kanthal resistance wire | Silica Wicks. The prices are for 10 feet of wick and 200 feet of kanthal. Pretty sure there are a couple of coupon codes that can be used. Last I read (today actually, now that I think about it) ecfdeal gets you 25% off and 10off, well it gets you 10% off. Pretty sure that's a bit high of price for that, but from what I have read, it's always in stock.
10 feet of rope seems about good for a person to have on hand, 200 of kanthal would last 1 person forever.
Think I'm probably be checking out cheesecloth and cotton gauze for wicked also and they can be had locally.

I bought the mad vapes VV box mod from sam today batts and charger and VIVI nova. Its impressive to say the least and I haven't even put it thru its paces yet.

Yeah. I may grab 1 of each just to have around. The usual EBay seller won't be available for a few more weeks, but then will have the kanthal at around $5-10 for about the same amount. Want to grab some mesh as well..saw something about a mesh/cotton hybrid thing-a-ma-bobber..
No worries on my part. Didn't mind trying to screw with that darn LT, personally..at least I know that I won't purchase another one due to the internal design and wiring..

We could..depends on if I can in on the supply that the EBay seller will put up. If I can, I am going to order a few of them and could hook it up. Also going to keep checking around for good deals, cause I know they are out there somewhere.. Deleted my bookmarks for the wiring, so I am going around blind again. Otherwise, if we decide it will be easier to just grab wire from that site, we can arrange something for sure.

Some people do, depending on if they get that chemical taste from the silica. Don't know if boiling it would break it up too much, but I suppose we will find out

Still fiddling with the VV box. Havent had the guts to really crank it up, but its performing the way i would want and expect. Set it, and with an lnline, volts under load are 0.05 to 0.1v of what you set it at. This is on cartos of 2.4 and 3.2ohms. I tried a couple DCC's while at sam's they worked well, but dont have any in line data for them.
Without the Inline, you are adjusting to taste, but im am putting an inline on there tonight, and putting some marks on there to make adjusting on the fly abit simpler. Overall for the price if you have a set of 14500's laying around, you cant go wrong.
