I have an IGO-w and have gotten the hang of building coils, but I can't seem to get a good vape from this setup yet. I had maybe one coil previously that worked OK, but not quite what i was expecting. My current setup gives really harsh hits that make me cough, not a lot of vapor either.

Am i doing something wrong?

On the other hand i've built coils with the same process on an EVOD and they are amazing. Not really sure why i can't get a similar vape on my IGO

The relationship to the airhole is critical in both horizontal and vertical planes.

If the airhole is not centered on the coil horizontally, TH will be higher and vapor will be lower.

If the coil is higher than the airhole TH will be higher by air passing under the coil.

If the coil is lower than the airhole, TH will be reduced. That's how I run mine. But not so close to the deck that it contacts and shorts.

Additionally, coils perform better when they are positioned close to the airhole and away from the posts :) but not so close to the rim/cap of the atomizer that it contacts and shorts.

Also, if it's a low resistance build (under 1.3 ohms) you may consider enlarging your airholes ever so slightly. Get em lined up though first of all. Make sure there isn't any excess wick blocking the flow of air from airhole>coil>drip tip hole either. I had this problem earlier today and i thought my lungs were on fire. A slight adjustment and I got the biggest, tastiest, and smoothest hit.
