Shiny GG

I shine today 5 Grants. I touch them with my fingers and my fingerprints stayed on them. Also it gets dirty easier, it gets blur for some seconds or it looks more dirty that is in reality.

I realize that shiny things must get shined and stay on a wall to look at them and not use them with our hands everyday. I never liked shiny things so GG was always mat but after some requests I deside to make them shiny. But when I saw what happened I stopped.
I cant use a glove to touch and smoke the GG

I will post a picture to see what I mean or a video too

hehehehe, yes this is an issue with the shiny ones. That's why I like to have a choice of both.

I agree, shiny is not necessarily better...... I have a beautifull mirror finished stainless steel watch..... So nice to look at....... Every time I touch it, got to rub it off with a cloth, or soon it looks ugly with finger prints...... Good judgement, Imeo, my friend.....

Excellent point, Art - and now that you mention it, this again confirms to me that I like both the shiny and the brushed look - my watch has alternating brushed and shiny links.....I guess I like variety. (either that or I just can't make up my mind )

It also explains why I have so many GGs.....

Guys I am happy that you know that already, when I saw it I got very sad by this because some people like shiny but they will get disapointed too with a shiny GG.

ps........ and you cant clean it every 2 mins, we take care of it but we have other works to do too.

Yes, those of us who like shiny already know this. I won't object to a new video though..

There is an in-between shiny and matt and this is where I generally keep my trans and it doesn't require constant cleaning or anything......

Yeah I prefer the original matte/satin look and feel. I don't want a mirror shine which is one of the reason I'm not interested in some of the other mods (that and the great GG functional design).

I know someone who got the Silver Bullet and hates it for that very reason..... He has to clean it continuously or it looks like junk...... I told him to buy a GG as the GG is built better too......I got one too while I was waiting for my GG..... It has its place, in my drawer in a sock...... I use my GG...... Will give the other to a needy smoker who can't affors an E-cig......

Lisa I agree, I made the GG with the sand paper I wanted to make it as shiny as I prefered, not more.

If they requested polished, then they should surely know they get fingerprints, and show skin oils.

One of the reasons I love my SB is BECAUSE it is shiny. I just keep a microfiber cloth in my carry case to wipe it down periodically.

I think supplying the GG in a brushed look is the best of all worlds. You can leave it as it is, or you can shine it yourself - best way to please everyone.....

Yes Bandit, thats true my friend. If you can do what you are doing ok no problem. I just realise that its too dificult for most of people to do that. I am trying to make our smoking lifes easier so I will not shiny it.
But as Lisa said, I will leave it as I like it so anyone can shine it. Its easier to shine it than make it mat!

D, you are right my friend but the cost will be bigger, I will tell you why.

I send 100 Trans to Laser and I have e.g 5 euros cost for each one. If I send him only one I will have 15 euros cost because laser will work for only one piece.
If I ask him for a special request, then the cost is 30 euros because he must make adjustments to laser to make a new name or a design.

When I will start making custom GGs I will do it but you must all know about the cost.

You definitely need to get yourself a Trans as soon as Imeo has made the latest batch!! I have all the others (apart from the TS), but I still use my Trans more than any of them....

You'll have to shine it yourself tho, like I did mine....

I read about your paypal problems D, - sorry they treated you badly like that. Have you found another method?

Also it would be better, and I would pay for it to be lapped before the lazer stamp. I would hate myself if I lapped off the GG stamp. Brushed metal to me just looks half down IDK why it just does.....

I thought of something D. I will try (I want to see the cost first) to do a very deep engraving (about 0,5mm) with letters that they will blank out at their edges. They will be very deep at the center. If it looks nice then I will inform you so you can polish it without a problem
