Pass...my head is spinning...like Max's video ending ;p

It cost me over $300 a month to smoke analogs...and I know we all have horror stories of feeding our addiction. I take that money and put it in the proverbial "cookie jar" and it becomes MINE...MY money to spend how I like <laugh> Well, in theory anyway :) But it doesn't always work ;)

I know when I was a newbie and only allowed "noob" posting sites, some of the posters admitted they went into credit card debt to keep those analogs coming. Now that we are no longer under the thumb of BIG tobacco, what is everyone doing with their "found" money? (Other than paying off their debit to BIG BANKING)

jb...I think that might be what jm was trying to say...no matter what income we are on, we still managed to find the money for those nasty cigs. So, I would be happy to loan you a bottle of juice or some carts while you get your "cookie jar" going :)
My heart goes out to people trying to lift themselves from beneath the burden of analogs because I'm one of them...and this family is here to help...even if we don't agree with the way they say it.

{{{hugs}}} to the best family online and the best product out there :)

I'll weigh in here as well. I too find it trite that many companies have a perpetual sale. I wish we could just get the price all the time that provides a fair markup for a fair product.

On the other hand, I understand why companies have perpetual sales. I have a buddy that runs a small car dealership. He used to do the no-haggle pricing which provided him a reasonable profit and a fair price for the consumer. He ended up abandoning that model because consumers like to feel like they are getting a deal. If a person sees the price reduced by $20 then they feel they are getting something extra special.

Granted there are exceptions. The 40% off sale that was just held is more rare (as it should be). Likewise, the free shipping can often be a better deal than a standard coupon as well. Quite frankly though, it doesn't make sense to order anything without a 15-20% off sale, which seems to be a weekly coupon.

Personally, I am fine with a set low price with an occasional sale of greater value.

With respect to shipping, the shipping charges are what they are. Either we pay them up front or they are built into the cost of the product so you don't see them. Shipping is not free and it is not included with the cost of purchase. the two are separate line items.

First class mail would be cheaper. However there is a couple of problems that I have with it. The tracking system for first class mail completely sucks. There would be nothing but lost and misrouted orders. We also would have to start sorting these orders. This would SLOW the whole fulfillment process down. Like I said in another thread....I am not for anything that slows the order fulfillment process down. To me, it simply is not worth saving a couple of bucks.

Schoolbob...you are so right! My husband teaches this stuff to senior executives in an MBA program and they almost all believe that a "sale" brings more comfort to a consumer...more believability, if you will :)

Personally...as car deals go...I bought my first car, a '67 Mustang, from a friend of my grandfathers. He opened his books to show me his cost, charged $200 over that and told me NEVER to bring it to him for routine servicing :p

Ooops, just showed my age, didn't I? <lolololol>

No Touché meant my friend, I live in NY and deal with the people here daily. Compared to other parts of the country the average Joe here is a touch on the un-mannered side, if you know what I mean.

Buffalo can be like the rest of NY, times five. All the snow and crappy weather makes us sarcastic and borderline cynics, but once you realize it's all in good fun and we can take it as much as we dish it, you get it. As my wife tends to remind me: "Sometimes you're the only one who thinks its funny."

Wow, totally didn't think of that and I use it every time I order...

I could tell that there was no disrespect intended in any of the comments... for myself, I always weigh in on how to order to maximize the shipping costs... it's just habit... if that means I have to wait before placing an order to accomplish this, I will... kinda like, do I go to Walmart to get a roll of paper towels now, or do I wait a week or 2 and go to Sams Club to get a gigantic pack of them... that's just how I am...

Regardless, I love the sales... if I go to another vendor for something I can't get at V4L and they don't have a coupon code of some sort, I don't feel like I got that great of a deal even if the product is on sale or at a low regular price...

Chadley, your model is working well for me and is keeping me very happy. Thank you.
I love the sales cause it makes me 'feel' like I am getting a bigger deal...

Getting the Sale emails is nice, however I'm one of those who always seem to have just placed an order just before really good ones are announced.

Postage cost & method is my one real gripe with V4L, in comparison to some other e-cig brands I've bought, so I shall have a little rant. Feel free to move to next post.

If you think you have expensive shipping, spare a thought for those of us overseas. Flat rate international shipping is $25 USD, whether it be for 1 battery or 3 months worth of cartos. Of course one doesn't make frequent small orders (who, me?) if one can help it. In Australia we can't make really big purchases either, due to our laws we can buy up to 3 months' supply. Though that might be open to interpretation, we don't want to get targetted by Customs, so we fly under the radar as much as possible.

Free shipping+no minimum order sales don't seem to be as frequent as % off sales. I figure I have to order enough to save at least $25 for the % off sale to be useful, which costs around $85.

Due to Customs, shipping time can vary from 1-3 weeks. This means one need to order well before stocks run desperately low. There is no tracking on the post type used so we can't tell where our packages are, when they're released from Customs. There is no expedited shipping option so that we can get packages more quickly & be able to track them.

One e-cig company couriered my order in 3 days - from Dubai, with tracking, for a slightly higher flat rate than V4L charge.

V4L are already sorting their orders into domestic & international. Yes, it would be more time consuming to offer different shipping options within those two types. But how about an international shipping method which is better value for the money?

Thank you for listening.:)
