When I told my Doctor that suicide was a possible side effect of Champix he told me,"any drug has side effects".

I thanked him for his concern.

I knew my family Dr wouldn't actually give me a chantrix prescription so I went to a clinic >.< I should have listened to my Dr

Bill, You're not even talking about the same thing. Ive not seen any proof of bad side effects happening to my body from any of the ingredients I know are in my e juice. If I did I would stop using whatever ingredient it was. When I see direct proof from a material safety data sheet about sperm count, that's some pretty serious stuff. Really a lot different than if a bran muffin is fattening or not.

I'm not that concerned with Glycerin not vegetable, but I don't think any store can have their prices :
Glycerin Vegetable USP 99.5%

I just got 1 litre of VG for 20.72$ (with shipping) which should last me 3 years... I'm more concerned about the expiry date now lol

wow thanks for the link.. that's 30 minutes from my house!

Read on the forum that USP Glycerin and USP Veg Glycerin are both fine. I bought some USP Glycerin from Shoppers thinking it would be fine, and when I mixed my first batch of juice I found it really coated my mouth and throat and masked the flavor I had made, not to mention a soar throat. I looked into the CAS 56-81-5 glycerin MSDS, and WOW didn't like what I read.

http://www.sciencelab.com/msds.php?msdsId=9927350

"May cause adverse reproductive effects......including sperm morphology........May effect genetic material.

I have all the kids I want, but still, I think I will make sure to get USP Veg Glycerin, and not just any Glycerin that says USP.
I guess its worth the wait to order online USP VG rather than to buy USP G that's easy to find....
Just make sure it's Vegetable not Animal.
:danger:

That msds sheet... omfg its like pure hell reading it!

the last link to Glycerin Vegetable USP 99.5% has the same CAS: 56-81-5

CAS 56-81-5 also says:

Precautions:
Keep away from heat. Keep away from sources of ignition. Ground all equipment containing material. Do not ingest. Do not
breathe gas/fumes/ vapor/spray. Wear suitable protective clothing. If ingested, seek medical advice immediately and show the
container or the label. Keep away from incompatibles such as oxidizing agents.

According to that... I could/may burn down my house vaping it, not be able to have kids, ground every piece of equipment it may be stored in, wear a hazmat suit when vaping/dripping...ect yet I can buy lubrication and eye drops and put them on places on my body I wouldn't ever think of dripping pg or vg into from a bottle.

I say be careful with everything you do and if you think you are having any adverse effects, or consider that sometime in the future this may change you or make you ill...stop if you can :) The human body isn't something to be messing with even though it seems that's all most of us do with our bodies is abuse them in some way or another. You and the people around you are more important than anything.

I will say that I have seen it burn up and create a huge flame when I decided to try dripping a few drops on the stove element.
What...it's a huge coil! :D I would suggest not trying it. Like I said be careful. things that seem harmless might not be :)

Global news sent the message that bran muffins "could" be a cause of cancer. Two weeks earlier they said it was healthy. Just saying News will try to scare anyone. Global does it for ratings, the sheets do it because almost everything can affect you. Try reading the 1000s of WHIMIS sheets that go along with the sheets the OP is speaking of. Or the 1000s of chemicals in analogs compared to vaping. VG means vegetable glycerine via USP, and not animal. Never would want to smoke any animal, even smoked beef lol.

All I can find is that glycerin is not a "controlled product" according to WHMIS guidelines.

Do you have some links to WHMIS info for glycerin?

Sorry M8, I'm retired now and they don't let me into the plant any more. They said here's your pension..don't come back. LOL

I tried looking up the whmis site and it's a fee for info now. Sic, it should be an open site for info.

USP VG is 99.5% pure glycerin. Does anybody know what is the remaining 0.5%?

I use about 2-3 ml of VG per day, so about 1000 ml per year. This means I'm taking in 5ml of "other stuff" per year, right into my lungs.

I'm not certain, but I believe it is water. I think it is almost impossible to get ALL of the water out of VG.......

Correct me if I'm wrong.
