    Hello mixers!
This one's been mainly oneshot and single mixing_ time to customize my pleasure?

Would appreciate the feeback on whether the products serve my desired taste/mix. Encouragement and dissuasion also welcome.

    - Flavours i'm sure i want, producer is the issue:

FA Mild Winter (peppermint) [purpose: not candy/chewing gum: to use with Tea/Cardamom and Kiwi/Apple]
    INW Mint Mix - [ditto]
2x FA Black Tea 10ml [real black ditto. No mention of sweetness in reviews]
FTV Cardamom [positive reviews, but unclear if as good as FA, might have to get from diff shop eventually]
FA Fuji Apple [pos. rev.s but idk if this apple is the apple to go with kiwi/mint]
FA Grape White [pos. rev.s maybe for a cactus/ginger mix?]
FA Marshmallow [just for smoothing/mellowing. if flavour is strong change]
    TFA Blueberry Wild [best reviews]
INW Cactus 30ml [best reviews for general purposes]
TFA Smooth [if tea is rough]
Need alternative to FLV Sweetness [if tea is rough]

    - Flavours not sure i want, less researched producer:

VTA Ginger Root [with Cactus and maybe to accentuat any cardamom?]
    VTA Eucalyptus Robusta [?with Cactus/ginger/mint]
FA Kiwi [pos. rev.s. for Apple and maybe grape/cactus/mint mix]
    ??? Green Tea

    -Curiousity, doubt i'll get:

    VTA Mastiha [coffee?]
VTA Arabica Coffee [usu. don't like coffees. ?to mix with Mastiha and Cardamom?]

SHould also note, i'm a bit hesitant abt the whole project, apprehensive of the required time investment and fail rate.

    Thanks for the inpudddddd!!!

I find Fuji Apple to be an authentic crisp apple flavor that I enjoy. I primarily use it in a recipe I found called Apple Buttah. I also use Marshmallow FA in quite a few recipes and it really helps a vape have a good dense mouthfeel without changing your primary flavors in a mix. Cactus INW at low percentages really helps fruit flavors achieve a "juiciness" which is really nice. I think Cactus INW is a must have if you enjoy fruit flavors.

    I hope this helps.

If your new to mixing then find some well reviewed recipes and get all the ingredients necessary to make those recipes.

Just buying random flavors is a waste of money, generally speaking. Find recipes, make recipes, let them steep, make changes here and there to taste as your preferences dictate...

Strike out making your own recipes once you have some experience..

thanks. they're all based on ideas i have from oneshots. i'll combine recipes i'll search for, notes and instructions on the flavours to guide me. they're not random at all.

all the FLV ones need to be replaced now though, new problem.

Most recipes are very layered. I have a peach cobbler recipe that calls for 3 different brands of peach as well as liquid amber and a sweetener to get that fresh peach taste...

Usually you cant just use one flavoring, it will always seem like it's missing something for an authentic taste.

This is why starting with a recipe is usually better as it gives you a good idea of how flavorings work together.

i did catch a glimpse of that but figured since i'm mixing with other flavours anyway...

like FA Black Tea+Peppermint+Cardamom+marhsmallow/sweetener or Kiwi+FujiApple+Mint or Cactus+grape+ginger+mint ... at informed percentages

if this won't do the trick
oh dear, i can't spend another day on this!!
why was i researching each flavour on its own for authenticity?

    This will be a problem.

maybe i should stick to oneshots.. i mean there is a mixer i really like for 3 all days vapes and i could just try FA Black Tea+Peppermint+Cardamom+marhsmallow/sweetener at my own risk or just drop it.

too bad abt the chefs sale though, they don't carry him outside of germany

Well if you think you can make it work then do.

Make SFT's once you get the flavorings in, then you'll know more about each flavor and about what %'s to use with each one, adjusting according to what amount creates your forward notes and which amount is best for background notes.

I actually think you are more than halfway there with this mix. And to get to the finish, you need the flavours. Get the flavours you need, and try simple 10 ml single flavour testers (SFT) of each, to see what they taste like. Then start mixing some of these testers together, and see what works together. Create your recipe from playing with your SFTs

For me DIY is all about trial and error, with a fair bit of research thrown in. But I also like to keep my mixes as simple as possible. If I can get away with one berry, and 2 cream flavours - perfect.

This thread is full of simple recipes. It will give you an idea of what is needed, and what isn't needed, to create a mix:
    Recipes for Dummies

My first ever diy mix, was a recipe I created myself. It tasted like absolute crap - because I used WAY too much menthol ;) I did some research, and found a better starting percentage. My 2nd attempt of that mix, was perfect

One last tip. Every time you do a mix, create only 10ml of it the first time. That way you aren't using up all your ingredients on failed attempts.

seriously, i wasn't gonna really comply first, just goes to tell you, with noobs you really gotta repeat yourself:thumbs:

In my opinion, and it's simply that, so others may disagree with my agreement-- you will use such a small amount of cactus that a smaller bottle will do. Also (my opinion) one of the following-- vanilla custard CAP, Bavarian Cream TFA or JF, Vienna Cream FA, Marshmallow FA, or Biscuit INW (more of a shortbread cookie flavor), etc., will help add some body to your mixes without overwhelming your recipe. Using one of those, except marshmallow, at 3% or a tad lower can help achieve some depth or mouthfeel as I like to call it. It can help keep your mix from having a rather dry sensation.

I welcome others to disagree with the above. It was something I personally prefer, so some others might chime in with better advice on this. I would hate to steer you wrong with my own personal taste.:)

thanks for tips. stop it with the disclaimer, sounds like we're at elr! while i got your expertise though, mind looking at the last list rather than the first? i took out all FLV and made some changes. worried abt VTA not releasing their chemical content.
