Been vaping for about 14 months now, and I just got my Reo Grand and RM2 yesterday. I had looked at a REO early on, but at that point I still thought it was too much money. Fast forward and I have multiple mechs and rba's (far more money invested than a REO would have cost) and I finally decided to try one out. vape mail hits yesterday, and a GP Paps 2.5 arrived at the same time as my REO and RM2. Was pretty stoked to try the REO so I crank out a micro coil, wick some cotton and fire away with some GLV's Nana Nuts. Instantly I am in love! The RM2 hits harder and provides more flavor than anything I have used to date, and the Reo is a breeze to use! I'm not putting this thing down anytime soon!
That being said I'm thinking I want to try a cyclone with this beauty, thinking the afc might be a great option. Any cyclone users out there care to compare the two?

The Cyclone BF will fit the Grand but if you want the AFC you'll need to get a LP Grand. The LP will fit any RBA you want to throw on it. I've also heard the Cyclone will work with the AFC on a regular Grand but will only fit over the first o-ring and that make the interior space of the RBA bigger. This is known to be less desirable. As always YMMV.

Congratulations!
Welcome to REOville! We were all lost at one time, but have found our way here to call this place home. Such a lovely and beautiful place to hang yer hat; where everyone is helpful and fun to hang out with.
Oh, and the keg is over in the lounge but ya got wait for me to get there because I have the tap, ha, ha.

I am really thankful to Super_X, Oldbroad and a few others... all the REO users in the show your working coil and wick thread in the RBA thread... I would consider myself a lucky one... the REO Mini is only my 3rd PV (4th if you include my initial attempt almost 4 years ago, which i dont)

so again many thanks to reoville

Congrats Grimjack! Welcome to Reoville, yes pics please, we love Reo porn.

your best bet for airflow control with a standard Reo might be the ring Rob is going to be making for the RM2.

Rob's standard airhole on RM2 is 3/64". To use airflow control ring what size do you guess the standard airhole would have to be opened to?? My RM'2 are opened to 1/16". Thanks.

just a cyclone B/Fing idea for ya
I have used the RM2 and the ERA and the Cyclones, I personally prefer the Cyclone.

I don't use the AFC option, I've enlarged the air hole little at a time. I vaped for the day or two and did this till I landed on the best hole size for me. now, if for some reason I want the hole smaller for more draw for what ever reason. I just twist the atty top a little to the right or left and this makes like the hole is smaller, because its moved away from the center of the coil and now the hole is near the end the coil and close to the wick, and the wick naturally makes for a tighter draw the same as a afc option.

you may not get it until you try it. I have had AFC atties before I found Reo mods. no matter what the air hole sizes where, I always ended up using the largest setting. just the nature of the beast I think, because many others have told me they find the same thing happens with them and there devices
