Should you have a back up mod.

Yep, I could see buying just the mod if I had several tanks already, but I don't. I plan to use the hell out of that Melo III Mini, and the eleaf coils that come with it! :vapor:
Yeah I went ahead and got the tank too. I figured it was only $10 more, why not:) I went with black and also got an adapter for my new just fog tank so it will fit on one of my mods since I couldn't find my old ego batteries or my adapters and it just looks silly putting it on my Zmax Tube mod:cry:

If I like the Pico kit I will pick up a couple of more for my cousin and my brother:)

True that's right it has the ceramic coils. What wattage do you run those at? Do you have it? What tank are you running now? Sorry if I asked before and forgot

I don't have it yet, unfortunately it's still in the mail, (with my RX200). Iirc reviewers have taken the Phoenix up to ~120W and said it was still a comfortable vape. Most seem to think that the "sweet spot" is between 50W and 65W, but of course that's subjective. The only tank I've got atm is a Toptank Mini, (does the job but still mocks me with leaking at least once a day). Once I've got the RX200 and Pico, (as my pocket traveler), my mod bases will be covered. Then I'll start accumulating more tanks and RDA's, (the Theorem looks particularly good).

True, but the pros outweigh the cons on this one, imo. Also, it's really easy to fill. If the coil lasts me a month, (by all indications it should last a lot longer), I'll be ahead of the game.
The coil is supposed to last longer than a month. You don't replace the coil, you clean it. Interesting concept. I may pick one up eventually, just waiting for more reviews:)

Yeah, according to CoV, their internal tester has over 2 months on 1 coil with average juice consumption of 10ml/day and it's still going strong. They will also be coming out with replacement coils as they expect the tank to need it eventually. What more reviews do you need? I've found several good ones on youtube.

Price of replacement coils is a big question and also you don't know what juice the tester was using. Some juices may cause that coil to fail after a month. I get a month out of my TFV4 coils and I pay about $4 each and mostly I use the RBA decks and build my own. I have watched most of the reviews, but I typically sub ohm .13 ohms up to .25 ohms so I am a little leery of a .5 ohm coil as standard, as well as not much has been said about airflow and I like an airy draw. It probably is a decent tank, but for right now I am happy with my TFV4s and the ability to build my own coils.
I do look forward to your review on it:)

Excuse my ignorance as I'm fairly new here. You mentioned 1.3 and 2.5 so those coils would be used at a lower wattage correct? What other options are available with the tfv4 as far as coils? I enjoy .25 to .5 coils the best are there similar coils available for the tfv4? And I don't build coils so that's not an option yet! Also are from what I understand the lower the number on a coil the higher wattage you can run it?

Vaping at 1.3 ohm - 2.5 ohm is not "sub ohm"ing. :pervy:

But yeah, I get your point. I love vaping at ~0.2 ohm - 1 ohm, so I expect I'll enjoy the experience from the Phoenix. I'll definitely let you know. What types of juices would you anticipate to lower the coil's life span? I haven't heard anything about that, but I don't use anything "weird", (bakery flavors, no cinnamon or citrus, 70%+ VG).

I just ordered the Pico kits and threw in a pack of Vaporesso Ccell 0.9 ohm ceramic coils. From everything I could find online, they should fit fine in the Melo 3 Mini, drink a bit less juice than the "official" Eleaf coils, (due to higher resistance), provide great flavor, and last a long time. I'll be sure to let ya know how they work out as well. :toast:

Everyone should have a backup mod that is identical or near identical in performance to their daily mod so they don't have to put up with a less than satisfactory vape. And your backup should have a backup as well. I've got an Evic VT for daily (just got it used today actually) two 50W isticks (one with a ....ty button, so it's lower on the depth chart) a coolfire 4 and a 30w istick.

My mistake with the decimal point .13 to .25 is what I use... completely different animal:oops::blush:
let me know how those coils work for you. I didn't order any coils until I decide what I like best and I will be ordering coils for all my tanks next month as we will be taking a road trip and I don't want to have to be building and rewicking on the trip.

Are you using the RBA in your Toptank? If so the leaking could be caused by improper wicking. The wick should cover both juice holes from the inside to prevent leaking.

I haven't been able to get mine to leak anyways, not even when I forgot to close off the airflow before I filled it yesterday.

No, it leaks with OEM coils, (all types). I'll sell it on Friday, (to a friend, at a discount), and be done with Kanger hardware, at least for now.

Damn the .13 must be nice and produce lots of flavor. What wattage you run it at? I just might make that my next tank :). Those coils are massive should get a good life out of them?
The quad coils are awesome but the new ones are rated .15, I still get an occasional.14 and sometimes a .13 in the batch. I get about a month on each coil, sometimes less, sometimes more, depending on my juice. The TFV4s are juice hogs and better suited to DIYers. It would get pretty expensive with store bought juices. I average about 75 watts for a nice comfortable vape with decent clouds on a 80/20 blend. I just got a new tank and I am running the Clapton dual coil .35 ohms at 70 watts. Lots of Flavor and Clouds.

Wow there a lot of different coil options. So all those coils are pre made I assume? As far as the juice goes I'm going to start buying online. I seen some 120ml bottles sell for what the stores are selling 30 ml lol. Well 120 ml was around 35 dollars US and 30 ml was 21 Canadian. And that 35 included shipping lol! I'll probably get it and use it here and there. I can't see it going through that much more juice then the crown? Are there higher resistance coils available for it as well? Like .2? Thanks!

I believe the triple is .2 ohms, the Sextuple is .4 and the dual coil Clapton is .35 and yes these coils drink a lot more juice than the crown. Typically I can easily go thru 10-15 ml a day. A 5 pack of coils is about $20 US. I have the full size TFV4 with a dual coil RBA and 2 of the Mini TFV4 Full kits with Clapton Rebuildable decks, There is also a Beast Kit with a Triple Coil RBA deck and the new octuple coil.
