I haven't had the chance to take it down the strip myself but with a great driver it could go high 9's. The previous owner is from Colorado and sandbagging it consistantly cut low 11's and trapped 130. I am not a great driver, so I will say probably high 10's to low 11's. It is a pretty intense feeling when it spools. Breaking all 4 loose at 90 took a little getting used to haha.

I've been upgrading most lighting to LED. Shot this video this evening with a GoProH2. They're not very good at low light. A buddy of mine helped get the LED strips to work properly with brakes and turn signals.

Front parking light LEDs were delivered today. Almost complete. Not gonna pay thousands of dollars for headlights though.

Honigschmidt, What windshield is that AND is it a true trike or bolt on Outrigger wheels?

I like that set up!

From the front it is very hard to tell our 2 rides apart!

Hey Kevin :)

The windshield on my Silverwing is a Givi shield. Perfect height for keeping the direct wind and bugs out of your face. It's not a true trike but a Voyager trike kit. One of the bolt on ones. It's the only Bike I have ever had, so I am use to how the Voyager trike runs, but I gather it is a very different feeling from a traditional trike.

I was kinda thinking, as I sit here watching the hair in my head and beard turn grey then fall out, that in a couple of years one of those setups might be just the thing an old bike could use to extend his/her riding time width.

The true "trike " kits are Very expensive and if a fellow had a bike he loved and could bolt one of them on for a couple of grand.........It would beat a 7500 dollar kit plus install labor.

(We's just trying to think ahead about 2 decades.)

I got one of these about a year ago right after I got rid of the cable TV company and the car and the cigarettes.

This is not my exact bike, but it's the same - mine is red. It sports a 750 watt brushless front wheel drive hub motor, the largest legal electric motor you can have on a bike, a 48 volt lithium iron phosphate battery pack costing upwards of 600 dollars - my bike also has a headlight, tail light & two turn signals.

Yes, it's a Bicycle. It's Electric. It does between 28 to 30 mph with a range of 20 miles between charges (with No peddling) - and charging this thing takes pennies a day and about 6 hours to charge from dead. I can carry tons of stuff on it with removable side bags.

No drivers license or insurance is required where I live as is the case in most of the USA. In a years time this has saved me about 3000 dollars on gas and insurance not to mention car upkeep. The battery needs replacing about every 3 years. Total cost about 1200.

I LOVE this thing. I often beat most cars to their destination in the city because I am not restricted to the main roads with the red lights and stop signs. You can keep your Tesla. I have had motorcycles and this thing is much more fun to drive - mostly because I love the looks on peoples faces as I pass them doing 30 mph on a bike during rush hour. LOL

Lots of folks here in the US wish MHD were available here. The CDi maybe even moreso. We're not given any options yet.

BTW, you're the only smart owner I've seen on ECF, other than me.

Am I? Are we? It's a great little car. It's my second one actually, I recently sold my 10 year old Smart ForTwo and got this gorgeous all-white one. Looks great, especially with the DRLs on. :)
