I wasn't "smoking" and your argument was that they both came from tobacco.
They are both tobacco products...
I think trying to force the issue like that is totally wrong. If the sign says no smoking then don't vape either. Smoking vs.vaping, the difference to the non smoker is just semantics. To the non smoker there is no difference and forcing the issue will bring much negative exposure to this wonderful thing we have. Just a noobs 2 cents
By your definition breathing on a cold day is smoking.Technically, you were, by the very definition of the word smoking.
Logic... good for what ails you.I sort of agree - but I don't. Civility is sorely lacking in society today. But the answer to everything isn't just trying to be invisible. If there is no pro vaping voice then we get what we deserve - no vaping. Anywhere. So we can either stand up - politely - and point out what is not wrong with vaping. Or just stay silent and let the ANTZ nut jobs tell us what they think is wrong with vaping and pass laws against it accordingly. Restaurants, apartments, work places, 20 feet withing any building with a door on it... If no one vapes in public then it doesn't exist. So I guess none of us will then have a problem if we can't get e-cig anything any more. Because the slant will be we shouldn't have been doing it any place to begin with and we let "them" get away with it.

And it's a very bad definition that should be removed.Looking through my giant Oxford dictionary, the act of emitting vapor is a definition of smoking.
I totally agree about not vaping in an establishment that doesn't allow smoking. It's their business & they can do what they want & if it bothers a vaper they should not patronize the business. I wouldn't.
<snip>
P.S. all the talk in this thread about that guy's chew bottle is gagging me. I don't even need to see it. Just envisioning it is disgusting. I can't believe that's ok in an eating establishment but having a vape isn't.
Oh lordy, here we go again. This time lets combine foods. I'll start with ICE CREAM AND TACOS! I'm at work so can't post any pics so a link will have to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choco_Taco
WHAT!? Dude that's so wrong are you even vaping? Nicotine liquids?
Technically, you were, by the very definition of the word smoking. Their sign said no smoking. It didn't say no smoking cigarettes, did it?
Yes, all e-juice- save for 0-nic, is a tobacco product, as the nicotine in it is derived from tobacco. There is no e-juice on the market that has nicotine in it that is not a tobacco product. There probably never will be.
To be fair, nicotine also comes from tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, tomatillos and both sweet and hot peppers.
I'm using a potato product, dangit.
I can vape potatoes?
Kewl!
