I remember seeing firmware updatable plastered everywhere for the sig213 prior to its release. Pretty sure even those reviewers said so themselves.

At this point I'm doubting everything sigelei is saying. Did those beta versions really have functional TCR? Is the issue really what they said it is bc they mapped it via F instead of C or vise versa? Does this new Fuchai 213 really have a functional TCR?

Whatever, I'm just going to use this mod under vv/vw and preset tc.

It will be the last sigelei product I ever purchase bc their business practice is just shady. Sadly sigelei will never have to own up for their mistakes for the sig213.

Very True! They also pulled down the 213 support area in their own forum. Shady.

The fact that it was touted everywhere as upgrade-able.. then they block people from sending their unit's back to the store they bought it from(vapenw) in my case, there's no where to even send them too and they claim they sold to many to fix it. You know what happens in my industry when you eff something up? you fix it and make it right on your dime. Couldn't imagine telling a customer sorry.. just can't help you even though it's my fault.

I agree this is my last Sigelei item to purchase. I was actually looking at getting the Moonshot, but not now. I also emailed the online vendor I bought it from to see about the possibility to return for a different device, since exchanging for the same thing won't be any different.

yah, all of this is pretty bizarre. which sucks because i still really like the mod. but this stuff of saying it's upgradeable when it's not, and releasing it without even testing the TCR or releasing it testing it knowing it does not function property really leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth .

question on resistance lock. i lock mine in TC and i don't get a lock symbol like i typically do with my other mods. then when i fire, the resistance fluctuates. not a ton, but definitely moves. is anyone else noticing this? is it actually locked and compensating or is mine not functioning properly?

that sucks man. vapenw let me exchange mine when i was having misfire problems. but i contacted them very early, within 48hrs of receiving the sig213

Sad because my 100Plus and 150 are solid and have never had a problem with them. It started when they were coming out with mods faster and faster. ((what was that abomination...UFO mod??? Ugliest thing I've seen))

I'm not devastated (yet) because I use power mode 90% of the time. When I dabble in TC, I use the Flask or Cuboid.

But, yeah, they'll have to knock my socks off for me to look at another Sigelei product.

Bad thing is I bought this device as my first TC device to test out TC. I can hope my preset TC modes are working correctly. Does anyone have a way to test TC preset modes without a multimeter or anything? My tank is the Uwell Crown with .5 ohm SS coil in it right now.
Power has definitely been working great though. How are people using the preheat in power mode? Just set it a number of watts higher than you're vaping?

Gotta say, I went against my better judgement when I bought this mod. I had heard some less than stellar things about Sigelei. But it looked great and it does work well for my particular need, but with this many people trying to use features that they said worked and convinced people to spend money on that simply are not there. Won't be sending my money their way again. I have to wonder if the guy who "designed it" will have anything to say about the implementation of his design.

I'm sure they knew about the problem, they just shipped them anyway.

I still have two Sigelei tube VV/VW mods, I still use them from time to time, they likely will still be working after all this fancy high technology stuff quits.

Has anyone found their 'converter' on the Sigelei website? Maybe the Steam Engine authors will pitty us and give us a button to calculate values "Sigelei 213 Style".

This is my assumption as well. I like the device and honestly don't mind a functionless tcr since preset has 316 and ss is the only material I use with tc.

It's their business practice with the false advertising of a functioning tcr and firmware upgrade pre release then retracting their claim of firmware upgrade ability after release to cut cost.

I like the device but am starting to despise the company now.

Hey rice, I was not really sure about that. Was Sigelei really advertising firmware upgreable before the product's release? That would explain why some reviewers and vendors were, and still are, promoting it.

My assumption was since the vendors were advertising it as firmware upgradable they would've gotten that idea from Sigelei directly. However I'm also not 100% certain

I see. And I agree with you. It's difficult to see how vendors could make such a crucial error, unless they were told so by the manufacturer.
