It can be misleading I guess. I really don't think it's a big deal though. You should see all the questions from istick users that ask why their mod wont go above XX watts. Then you have to try and explain to them about the voltage limit. 6 one way...half-dozen another...
Ah, so the iStick wont display above the wattage it's maxing out at? Both of my Sigs will display the max wattage regardless of what it's actually putting out. All the mods I've watched video reviews about are the same too. That's what I get for thinking that was normal.

I'm not a computer or programming guy but wouldn't it possible to get access to the chip inside somehow via USB to get to source code? I mean Sigelei have to put the initial firmware onto the chip somehow as well, no?
I apologize already if that's a total noobish thought :)

I doubt it can be accessed by any means other than a complete teardown, then placing the main chip on a mobo, and inputting values to it's pin outs.

Sometimes chip manufacturers publish logic diagrams. Get the chip number/manufacturer name and see if it's public.

I've never seen a device that won't display max wattage.

Mainly the device does two things. Certain user defined stuff stays user defined. Things that are not user defined are live feeds. The device throughout a given puff will give you all the information you need (live resistance, live voltage, live amperage) with those you can see what you are actually getting. It doesn't do live reading of Wattage and yes it lets you select 213 even if the device can't hit that because of protections. But this isn't a DNA and that adds extra complexity with either limiting the wattage setting by resistance (which as a side comment, I wonder how often this is the case for TC capable devices because of the need to manually lock the resistance) or adding yet another live feed. Specially considering Watts is the least important part of vaping. Which is why is silly how important its gotten. You need to watch your amperage draw, you have to watch your voltage draw, you have to watch your resistance and how it affects those. Wattage is just purely power usage and honestly should just be left to the your local power company.

Sorry, but tried a couple searches on this thread, but go nothing back.......

I finally got good settings in Ti mode. Changed to a tank with Ni200 coils and got that dialed in. Went back to the tank with Ti coils and it still had the settings for the Ni200 coils. I also use a tank with 316L SS coils. I like to change flavors (and therefore, tanks) regularly within the day. Doesn't the 213 keep the Ti (or Ni/SS) settings until you change them within Ti mode or do I have to start over again whenever I change between TC modes?

Yeah you will need to adjust any settings manually from one wire to the next. Theres no "memory" associated with one tc function to the next.

Well, Dang! Not good for my vape style and having some hand problems! But at least I have one good mod that holds the settings for the each TC mode, so guess I will just have to find my one best vape with the 213 and stay with that and power mode. Or............

There may be a good reason for another mod...................yeah, that's it!

You could always just have a mod and tank for each flavor. That's my goal :)

Well, I think I am well on my way, 14 tanks each with a different flavor. 3 of them RTA's and a dripper for tasting/occasional flavors. But have some work to do on the mod end. But, since only 3 are in TC mode, I should be good for a while. Unfortunately, "for a while" may not be long enough. I am going to take a good, long look and the Fuchai 213.........or two!

If I wouldn't spend all my money on ingredients for making e-juice I would probably have a decent collection.

The next mod I buy will probably be the IPV 6.

Ingredients can't be that expensive, can they? I haven't delved into DIY so IDK.

DIY is the last step I haven't taken yet. I've been a bit afraid of handling the nic due to the hand problems, let's just say I don't eat peas. But the way things are looking, I may just have to get some lower level nic juice and give it a go.
You can buy nic in a level that is safe for handling and wear gloves for safe measure.

Is anyone else having a problem with juice getting behind the carbon fiber? I kept noticing random juice smeared near the bottom of my 213 and discovered that when I put pressure on the mod that juice is oozing out near the bottom.

I've always been a huge Sigelei fan since the 150 is still the highest quality mod I own. And as much as I love the idea and look behind the 213, the more I use it the more I wonder if I could have gotten a higher quality box for the price.

Maybe I'll see what people say about the 213 Fuchai. I feel like we got burned, like Sigelei knew there were problems but decided to release it anyway.

No, but I also don't let juice just drain out of my devices. Honestly what do you expect? If you bath your device in liquid, liquid is going to make it anywhere it can. I am not being mean, but I just personally can't visualize a scenario where juice not only leaks onto my device enough to be bothersome without me taking the tank of trying to fix it or figure when and why it was leaking. But also leaking enough that even if it was outside the device enough for it to leave the top and roll down the side of the device.

That's not to say that the experience with this device is great. I mean mine has been pretty good, but its been because I have been pretty lucky not to need most of the more quirky points of the device. Nothing defective but just silly habits (well maybe the lack of TCR 4 and 5), and that can be disheartening specially when one of the quirks (TCR in F instead of C) is going to be resolved in another device half its price.

But I mean if juice is making it under your 510, through the screw holes, or some crack somewhere, and flowing enough to come out the bottom. I am not sure that points to a problem in design of the device.

That definitely sounds more like a tank issue than a device issue. While I understand the concern about juice getting behind the carbon fiber, I would focus on why the tank, or whatever you're using, is leaking enough to do that.

As far as the carbon fiber goes, I did read somewhere around the start of this thread where one person said his coating was loose, and he could hear it making a crackling sound when he pressed on the body of the mod.
