Asleep - preheat mode - jumbled screen. :grr:

Sadly, I was unable to get all three wire types I tried in TFR mode to work. Currently only one kinda-sorta works. Ti mode and all the TCR modes are broken. I don't vape in Power/Wattage mode at all and surely did not buy this mod for that. :-x

I'd also like some official confirmation that this thing is firmware upgradeable otherwise I just purchased a $100 pet rock.

:nah:
They are not upgrading the firmware. They said this on their fb page.

The question is how many of us was able successfully return one? I've only read a few of us who returned theirs for a replacement with a similar mod (same chip with TC issues). This was prior to Sigelei's timely changes with their return policies. Has anyone been able to get their money back? Instead of a replacement. I toyed with this idea, then I eventually conceded by keeping what I had.

I had the option to return for store credit, but ended up deciding to keep it.

I'll probably end up using this in power mode for the most part, and wait on more reviews before buying my next mod with TC. I did just buy an IPV D3 during the sales this weekend and might test TC on there after I get back from vacation after next week.
I bought, accidently, an iPV D3 a few weeks back. I wanted the iPV D3S =/

I had and used my Sigelei 213 for 2 weeks, before I even mentioned to, and asked for, another forum member's opinion. I was directed to this thread and I was shocked. Now I've calmed down and I really don't want to worry.

As for your offer for credit; that's good. You should plug the vendor if you think they deserve it. How many days after the purchase were you offered this?

I was able to return my first one for store credit and used it for a iStick TC100 and a tank (with a little extra funding). The store owner balked at the garbled screen and offered the store credit straight away after seeing it.

The second one I've kept. If we don't count the miss fires or lame fires the TFR mode works with a temperature offset well enough. I currently have a 7ml Supreme mounted that once drained I'll retire the setup for now. (to many other mods that work much better)

I kinda feel like a troll here seeing that I exchanged my 213. So... heads up, this is a somewhat OT post.

I wanted to share my experience with folks here that potentially were/are and hopefully not "Soon to be" experiencing the myriad issues of the Sig 213. For the money, there are a few devices that do the job...without the headache. No offense to those that have found the workaround that works for them... this is just for those that are visiting this thread as a potential buyer or owner of the box and are looking for its replacement. The Sig is not a "bargain box", anyone looking to purchase this mod should fully understand the issues posted throughout thread!

Basically- I initially thought that the complaints were from less seasoned TC vapers... NOT THE CASE. Sig has confirmed the issues reported and are releasing the Fuchai 213 instead of fixing the the original 213 *ouch*:danger:

For those still struggling with the 213 and purchased it for it's "DNA like" features, (Pre-heat, TFR, etc.) like I did, I received my VT133 (DNA) and after just a few tweaks in escribe I am experiencing "arguably" the best vape that I have had in years. Every build that I have thrown at it have been stellar. TC SS, PowerSS and Ti, Clapton and Fused.. awesome. The resistance autosensing works amazingly well, preheat is smooth and does not abruptly transition into TC as I've found with the 213. The 213 "Can" however be tweaked to get a somewhat smoother transition, but night and day difference on the DNA chip- its pleasant. As this is not the DNA thread... just saying!

Happy Vaping! I'm now unsubscribed to this thread :)

I wonder how the Sigelei snowwolf will turn out. Maybe they learned from all of this with the 213?

I asked sigelei on facebook and they clearly said not firmware upgradable.

Sigelei 213 + Moonshot users please!:

Anyone encountered a check atomizer error? Second time now for me and I am not sure if I have maybe a short somewhere sometime (3mm coils can be close in the moonshot) or the pin just does not reach the 510 all the time. Screwing on and off helps some times. 213 works with other attys, moonshot works on the rx200S. So I guess it is a hardware-connection issue. Any1?

Same here. I bought it to be a small, dual battery, power mode mod. It's working beautifully for me. I've run it in temp control using Sigelei's numbers, works fantastic for me. But that's not what I bought it for. I would never buy a mod for temp control that didn't have firmware upgrade ability. I think a lot of the problem is how much people trust reviewers for their information. They aren't professionals by any means, and I've noticed most of them have absolutely no clue how to truly test a device. The blurbs some put on their videos "Don't just take my advice" are very true. Most of the reviewers put out a video on the device within a day or two of getting it. No way they can know how a device performs in that kind of time frame.
