You don't have to use the preheat in tc or power it's an option.
Here's how I personally use pre heat in TC. My current ss build I use in both power and tc.

In power mode I use it at 60w. If I take too long a hit, the cotton will start to dry out and lose flavour/dry hit whatever. In tc I will set the preheat to 60w for 2 seconds. This way I get the same vape as power mode but tc will kick in before the cotton starts to dry out. It all depends how and why you use tc.

This device has a few issues but pre heat isn't one of them. It works exactly as it is supposed to. If you don't like the pre heat, don't use it.

Still in love with mine. I'd love to buy another, not sure if I'd want the Fuchai even tho its cheaper and "fixed". Battery life seems comparable to my Reuleaux, even with one less battery. Also feels WAY better in the pocket. Fast charging means I don't need to worry about taking extra batteries when I leave the house, which is super nice.

What are the power mode guys using for preheat? I seemed to have settled at 135 for .5 seconds, then dropping to anywhere from 60-90w, depending on how I'm feeling (build is 25KA1 fused clapton with 40N80 wrap, 4mm ID, 7 wraps, .24 ohms).

I was only using pre-heat about 10-20 watts higher than what it is set to in power mode for about .5 seconds.
Edit: changed my mind again. Decided to keep it. I like the carbon fiber more than the the aluminum Fuchais. But I do want to add a new tank to go in rotation with the Crown..

I'm laying in bed last night half awake, vaping my brains out, and only getting a fraction of the vapor production I normally get off my tc settings. I'm cussing at this thing and wondering what's going on. I'm thinking what's the problem now Sigelei?

I go through all the usual to try and troubleshoot the issue, taking the tank off, putting it back on, resetting resistance, manually setting resistance, taking the batteries out and putting them back in, playing with preheat, playing with temp compensate, and repeating the above steps too many times. Finally I say screw it and go to bed.

I wake up today and decide to check the coil. The thing was so gunked up I don't see how I was getting any vapor at all. Total noob move :censored: Note to self, only vape fully wake you idiot.

Slightly off topic....

Does anyone have any experience with the Uwell Rafale X?

Just got one today and put 2 alien captions in series mode (using the neutral post) so was at 0.66 ohm roughly, wicked up plenty of juice and a really weak vape!
I know the coils will take some ramp up but i was going to 120w pre heat and then 80w on the 213 and it just took ages to get any sort of decent vape???

The Rafale X seems to have a long 510 so much so it was gapping on the cuboid, which would read the resistance and then give me atomiser short!
Strangely my VTC mini read it and would fire but took forever to glow the coils at 70w.

Pretty disappointed and straight back on the avocado 24! If anyone can help I would really appreciate any tips.

A black Advocado 24 looks sweet on top of this. About half the height of your crown tank so it all looks super compact. Also more juice capacity than the crown. Vapes like a beast too.

That one is near the top of my list currently. I wanted to get into RDTAs anyways. Why wire would you recommend? I only have some 28 gauge kanthal currently. Was thinking to grab some pre made coils to take on vacation in a week and a half.

Lol same here. When I get a new bit of hardware i chain vape and mess with it till I get it working the way I want. This mod took longer than normal and I completely gunked a brand new coil in less than a day ☺

I bought about 100m of 26 gauge 316L a while back so it's all I really use lol. Imho it's probably the best wire to get as most tc devices seem to use 316L as there default setting. Also great in power mode. Just remember that ss has a much lower resistance than kanthal so don't get to thick a wire, 26 gauge works great for me.

If your fairly new to rta's etc the advocado can be a bit tricky to wick properly. I'd recommend watching Mike Vapes video on it. He uses some angled tweezers to push the wicks down and I've found these make it much easier. The tweezers I bought are called Rolson number 7, they cost about £1. Best £1 I ever spent lol.

My 213 arrived this morning and must say I really like the looks and feel. Used/using it in power mode with Atlantis tanks and now the Herakles RTA. All vaping great, especially the RTA at 82 watts. I have already had one instance of the garbled screen which is somewhat disturbing, but not a deal breaker to me so far.

I tried running a TFV4 mini with a factory titanium coil, but wasn't able to dial it in very well. Will have to do some reading/research and try again. If anybody has any experience or suggestions, I'd welcome them. The Ni and SS will go on the back burner (ie: use on Lavabox) until I get a better idea with the Ti.

All in all, I use mostly power mode for my vaping and am happy so far with that, but still frustrated that Sigelei fell short on what they advertised.

One tip for the avocado 24 trim the end of your wick, not quite into points but maybe half the volume going up to full size that the coil. Wick like a beast and you still have volume of cotton at the coil. Also use a thin Allen key to make some space between the wicks and the holes they go through a la the theorem wicking tutorials, it allows the juice to flow like mad.

I bought some pre made 0.45 alien claptons and they are awesome but just putting a 0.25 stainless alien from juice junkie in now, this mother ramps up super quick. Hoping for an awesome vape.
