Would guys think, the sig could be upgradable?
I would say its unlikely given their track record, none of their 50W/100W/100W+/150W/mini 30, etc have been user updatable.

I don't think it has been specified either way though so that is just my speculation.

Any scuttlebutt, rumors, etc. as to when the release date may be????
Believe its to be soon, as in June me thinks.

I know the older model Sigs had a yihi chip but like @ThunderDan stated they were not upgradeable. I believe at some point someone contacted SmogGB about the chip. Stated that it wasn't yihi at all but their own proprietary chip, but nothing to validate this info.

I figured if a few of the ipv's were then maybe this new sig would be.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like it will have a micro usb port, and since it doesn't then there goes any sort of upgrade. About its chip tho it does look strikingly similar to yihi (don't see why it wouldn't) be but it's display is quite a bit different. Maybe a retooled version of a yihi chip?

Their sigelei 100W/150W UI was nothing like ipv3 / yihi UI, even though it used yihi firmware, and did the same thing for all intents and purposes. I personally beleive they made the boards in house for those as well, at least they claimed as much, like they claim with this one. I tend to believe them, for at least the 150W I have taken apart, the physical board layout is a bit different from the SX330v3 that most people claim it uses, and I didn't see yihi printed on the PCB like I have with every yihi board I've used, even though it clearly uses yihi based firmware. Its possible they make the boards in house authorized from yihi, like the yosen SX300 boards which aren't made by yihi, but an authozied manufacturer. They could be straight up getting the boards from p4y and cloning them too. If you notice release dates from p4y and sigelei, sigelei has been a couple weeks/months behind the p4y offerings for products using the "same" boards.

However, its also entirely possible yihi makes boards with different hardware layout for sigelei.

All the speculation of who makes what could easily be cleared up from the companies, but most of these China outfits don't seem to like transparency.

Absolutely, its rather big negative when your trying to get information about a device and its chip. When its the same response "we can't tell you because the manufacturer doesn't want to release that information"

rounding third and heading home...
elementvape has the sigelei 75 for $69 IN PRE-ORDER. not a group buy so it should be in around mid-june. i think with the yihi board it will be one fine mod and i couldn't resist. sigelei has always been good for me-never had any problems. strange it has both front and back covers removable- probably means different colors will be available for changing the look....

looks great! from what I heard it is their own chip, not YIHi
there is a much larger screen than the YiHi, reminds me of DNA40 but still different.
retail price will be around $86 according to their website, but I guess that is more like a recommendation? I'm definitely going to get one if the price is not much more than that.

Thanks a lot for this info.
np, I just found it on the net;) I think they come in 3 different colours too. both back and front sides are removable with magnets. maybe they are planning to sell back and front covers in different colours in the future? don't bet on it tho. but these are the standard colours. cheers!

black body, silver side and back
silver body, black sides and back

I got my Lemo 2 from them, guess I got lucky. Kind of. Heh, I had it three days before I sold it. That RTA is terribly and misleadingly designed, you're better off IMO.

How so? I have it for 1 week by now and so far still good. I had Lemo 1 which was great, them STM that very easy too build, very easy to fill, I can change wicking with full tank, then Lemo 2....
STM spit back too much so that hot juice makes me cough a lot. Lemo 2, easy to fill, PITA to build, can't fix wicking with full tank. But performance wise, it is good.... no spit back, can handle higher wattage compared to STM, flavor is good too...

The airflow isn't as open as it should be with the massive chimney, and the glass tube is too close to the barrel/deck.

You can pre-order the Sigelei 75w TC from Gearbest for $59 using code "Sigelei75w"

When I pre-ordered my EHpro SPD a5 it arrived within 10 days from being shipped.

I'm debating pre-ordering a Sigelei now, the EHPro mod itself is nice but the TC is a bit finnicky and the temp calculation doesn't seem very accurate... I can get it to function as advertised (limit my wattage more and more as cotton is getting dry) but I have to turn the temp up the entire way usually. Plus I don't know how other devices work but the EHpro uses your set temp as a target more or less, it climbs to it quickly and hovers right at it by adjusting the wattage up down as you vape.

But I don't know yet. I'm still trying to decide if TC is worth the hassle of dealing with nickel wire... It seems nice for RDAs (when I start barely getting a hit I know it's time to drip) but for RTAs I'm not sure the payoff is worth it.

Maybe I should just wait a while for all the kinks to be worked out. But the Segelei does look nice and I could always just sell it if I don't like it, and I think 75w is probably about all I'd ever need.... I like the idea and price of the IPV4 but it seems to big and bulky to me an all-dayer in my pocket at work kind of device. Ahhhh what to do what to do.
