was the device turned on or off when this happend? I never leave my device unattended when it is switched on, I always turn it off by doing the "5 clicks" until is says "system off". So for my piece of mind....was it turned off or on when it started to autofire?

And couldn't you just return it? It seems like a system failure that should be covered by warranty.

Is sigelei sells already the 75w replacement doors? I have alittle bit of scratches/nicks on one of the cover and I am OCD.

Or is there any aluminum polish scratch remover that I can use for the doors?
I am under the impression that they use a clearcoat finish on the doors. If so, you could probably use an automotive type of wax to buff the scratches out. I've even used furniture polish(pledge)to get small scuffs out. You may need to re-apply after some time, but it works. Or you could go the distance and lightly sand with a 1500 grit or 2000 grit and then re-apply a few light coats of clearcoat.

Brass metal polish won't work right? Applying it will remove the clear coat?

I personally wouldn't try it. Maybe overly cautious. Wax is made to remove slight scratches and swirls in clearcoat. It depends on how deep the offending scratches are and what method is best fit. If you can lightly drag your finger nail across it and feel the scratch, it's deep. If not, try wax or pledge first.

I tried the brass just a lil bit and nothing happened. I'll check home depot or a car parts store later when I get home.

Did it pass or fail the fingernail drag test? If it failed, it may need a sanding and re-apply clearcoat. Or a light sanding and buff the clearcoat depending how deep it is.
To me, that would be too much trouble for an inexpensive device. I'd just paint it a flashy color, or better yet, just put the rubber sleeve on it and call it a day.

Yeah I have quite a bit of a long fingernails right now and I can feel the scratches.

Probably I will just use a scotch brite scouring pad to sand it off and remove the shininess of it for easier maintenance.

I'm not a fan also of using silicone sleeves.

I've had this mod for 2 weeks at least now. I love it. It feels great to hold, looks solid. The doors don't wiggle or fall off, those magnets are pretty strong and the little pins fit snug. They doors don't even rattle. Fire button feels nice as well as the adjustment buttons. The screen is bright. Bright enough I can read it clearly in the middle of the day, standing in the sun light. No problems with any of my atomizers making contact. Changing out the batteries is fast and easy. The doors have acquired some small scratches and nicks but I've been bringing it to work and I do construction so that is expected. It's a very well made little single 18650 75 watt mod. I can't wait for some black door panels to come out!

I haven't encountered any glitches
I haven't had any too hot warnings
No problems when switching my attys
No auto firing

The ONLY downside to this mod is it holds 1 18650. I have plenty of batteries so it's not so bad. It's by far my favorite mod to use all day.

What build do I need to use the temp control for the Vector RDA? I want to try the TC feature of it but I have no experience in Nickel coils.
I bought some 28g ni200 from vapor dna. I've tried several builds in my new morph tank rba section and I've been unsucessfull for the most part. Just my building though I'm sure it has something to do with my wicking lol.

Haven't yet tried a nickel build in my tugboats but I might this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

Ok I have been playing with this thing in Temp control for a couple days. I have a Crown tank and It came with a .15 dual nickel coil and two other dual coils that use stainless steel heating coils a .5 and a .25. The nickel coil seems to get too hot or dry out anyway I seem to get a dry hit on it once in a while. I put in the .5 stainless coil and used it in power mode for a while and had to set the Sigelei to 75 watts to even get a decent vape but still not hot enough. So I thought let me try it on Temp Control. Well it seems to preform better than on power mode. I can set it at 50 watts and 440 degrees and get a very nice vape. Whats the deal with that?
I've also had some issues building with nickel. I tried making a single coil spaced build in my morph tanks rba. I THINK my issue was that one of the coil warps on the end of the coil didn't have enough cotton around it and I think it heated up faster than the others, causing an in-accurate temp reading. Just a thought.

I also think my coil was sitting far too above the airflow hole in my morph tanks rba lol. I can get away with that in my lemo drop with kathal but nickel is so much different.

Hey guys earlier I mentioned in this thread that my sig eats up batteries a lot faster than the SXM and also needs to be set to a significantly higher wattage and/or temp to achieve a similar vape to the SXM. Both of these issues started becoming progressively worse over time, and it started doing something my old Smok M65s did; giving a low batt warning while firing even with as much as half a charge left.

Well, I feel like a complete idiot now as I've figured out the problem and it's a familiar one to anyone who put their time in with mechs. Contacts. The thing has copper contacts that tarnish really fast and cause two problems:

Resistance reading is higher than it should be because of tarnish/corrosion on the 510 center pin causing inconsistency and inaccuracy with the vape quality.

Being unable to deliver the higher current demands as the battery starts to drain, because the battery contacts are copper as well.

After a quick polish with my trusty old eraser set I used on my mechs back in the day it's able to fire at 55W with a battery that barely registers on the meter, and the vape quality is very similar to the SXM at similar settings.

It's been so long since I've used mechs I've just completely neglected contacts on all my APVs, most of which I sell/trade/give away after not too long, and they usually have brass or stainless contacts that don't tarnish as fast. But the sig definitely needs frequent polishing of the 510 center pin to ensure good performance in TC mode, and less frequent (but still more than normal) polishing of both battery contacts. It was really disappointing at first because performance out of the box was great but quickly started getting worse, I know this may be very obvious for some people, but it totally slipped my mind and I'm not green by any means!

Sorry for the long winded post BTW!

because the first one died and you guys said it was second quality because I got it for $55. I see it as low as $50 now. the people that said that here could have been right but the full price one is changing the wattage by itself now. might as well buy it for $50 if it is going to act like this. I just figured from b&m I got a primo unit. that's all but no.
