I purchased a sigelei Zmax kit from Varitube a few weeks ago and I *almost* love it.
It seems that whatever clearomizer I use, if I screw it in firmly, I get absolutely no airflow whatsoever. I need to unscrew it a turn or two, then the airflow is good, but the clearo is then very wobbly. Is this to be expected?
I've used a Kanger T2, Kanger T3, as well as the clearo supplied with the kit all with the same result. Both the T2 and T3 work great on my eGo batteries.
Is there some adjustment I can make? Did I get a bad unit? Or is this just how they work?
EDIT: I emailed the guy at varitube and he gave me a solution which fixed the problem right away. I'll describe it here in case anyone else has the same problem.
On the Zmax, the 510 threads are on the post in the center, eGo threads are on a brass sleeve that is just friction fit around it. So I guess by screwing clearos on too tight I had lifted that sleeve higher along the center post. Eventually, the brass threads we so high that they blocked the air holes.
The solution was to simply attach a clearo to the eGo threads part-way and give it a little push. The brass sleeve slid back down into place and the air holes were no longer blocked.
Thanks Varitube!
