I think that airflow controller thing may be just what I looking for, when I was looking for "rings" to disguise that gap!
Peeps, my Hypertank sits just like that, which is one reason I don't think it looks right on the Sig; when I get the 25mm IBTanked, I think the slight overhang will fool the eye somewhat, to disguise that.
But, we were planning on visiting a couple of vape shops round here today that we haven't visited yet, and one of them is MadVapes, so I'm going to see if they have that controller in stock at the store.
Thx Fairmana!!!

Glad to help, and I hope it works well for you.
I had to fiddle around with my air flow controller for a while until I finally figured out how to put it on correctly, so I'll share some tips with you.
Make sure you screw the air flow controller all the way down onto your mod
first before you screw the tank onto the controller. The center pin of the controller can move up and down inside of it freely, so you don't have to worry about over-compressing your mod's positive pin.
Once the bottom of the controller is all the way down on the mod, the bottom of it will be as close to your mod as possible (that minimum gap of ~1mm). That will have moved the center pin inside the controller as far up as it's going to go.
Next screw your tank on, but make sure the upper threaded half of the controller isn't screwed all the way down against the bottom half, because it will be tough to loosen it once the tank is on there. In other words, just make sure the top half of the controller is free to turn easily.
Once the tank is screwed down snugly onto the controller, you can then screw the top half of the controller up against the bottom of the tank.
If the airflow is too restricted, you can loosen the top half of the controller slightly away from the tank to allow more air in (1/4 turn or so). Some tanks have an air channel or two cut across the bottom of the tank to allow for flush mounting, so if that's the case, you may be able to screw the top half of the controller all the way up against the tank without airflow issues. You'll know once you play around with it a little.
