The picture of the V3 at movapes is of a slant top , but in effect you receive a flat top, I assume they just put up a stock photo.....didn't mind it since all my other v2s and v3 s are slant top , didn't think I'd like the flat top but changed my mind
I was hoping for exactly what was shown in the photo. I have a flat top already.

I just spoke with a gentleman at movapes and he verified that the v3 in the photo (tear drops etching) is the one that I should receive. :)
Sigelei ZMAX V3

ETA: Well, so much for that. I received another email today telling me that the manager double checked on whether it is a Round Top and he told me they must've all been sold, so I had to cancel.
I found one on ebay tonight as a kit. You get a sigelei 18350 & 18650 with a charger and a bcc coil head with it. I'll still use my Imr's unless someone verifies that sigelei batteries are okay to use.

This photo was taken from the web. These could be either brushed stainless Sigelei Zmax V3 or V5. A slant top is shown on the left, a flat top on the right.

The one sure-fire way to tell if a Sigelei is authentic is to slap a battery in and boot it up. If the display reads "Sigelei" during boot-up then it's authentic.

One of the common themes found throughout most of this long ECF thread is that there are variations in the Sigelei product line that originate from the factory. You can't read 20 pages in most of this thread without encountering some mention of this. Sigelei has made improvements to the Mini, the V2, V3 and V5 without changing the model numbers. Product can vary from batch to batch depending on what the wholesaler and retailers want and what Sigelei wants to produce. So, variations in trim and finish are commonplace with authentic Sigelei product.

Sigelei clones and counterfeits must be extremely rare or non-existent. We haven't seen reports of any on this entire thread.

I advise any prospective buyer of a Chinese-made APV regardless of brand name to avoid buying a kit. Buy body-only. The batteries and battery chargers included in kits are usually of little value to knowledgeable APV vapers. Buy quality batteries and battery chargers separately. Atomizers included in kits are usually junk, too.

Your verified. Have you checked the classies? I believe there's a slant top in there now.

The mini kits look like they include the protank which is a heck of a lot better than most kits. I've talked with others that have gotten kits from Siegeli and it sounds like they are a step up from the usual (ie. Vamo, etc). Still not the best, but not the worst and probably not dangerous for limited use - i.e. until better gear can be bought.

I've seen some absolute garbage sold in kits that shouldn't even be used once.

How long did it take to get purchases from MoVapes?
Does the Sigelei one year warrenty apply? I noticed Fast Tech doesn't say anything about Siegeli's warrenty.

Personally I like the v3 in stainless flat top , for the quality of the build its worth the 25$ all day long ......I bought 5 of them , Caveat ; I already had 6 zv3s in boxes , slant top,as well as 3 in use......I have a Slight problem when I see a deal on something I like so think for yourself :)

I bought a Vmax several weeks ago from MoVapes at the start of their Sigelei sale. I can verify that the kit I received came with a Protank clone that uses Protank style atomizers. I was surprised to have received the Protank and not some piece of junk clearomizer. It appears to work well (I gave it to my Dad since I prefer my Kayfuns).

It also came with "Sigelei" branded batteries and single battery charger. I can't speak to the quality of the Sigelei batteries since I haven't used them beyond a quick test. As you can imagine, the charger that came with it didn't inspire much confidence. I already own better batteries and a good i2 charger anyway.

All in all, I can't bring myself to complain after only having spent $25 (not including shipping). I was pretty surprised that it came as a kit for that price. I only expected to receive the body with no "extras".

I can't remember exactly how long it took to get the shipment, but it took a day or two longer than I expected being shipped from NY to FL (4 or 5 days?). I think it came USPS.

I have no idea what MoVapes' warranty is, or if they even offer one since I haven't looked into it. I guess for what I paid I wasn't expecting much.

I have two V3s and a V5. All are flat top in brushed stainless steel. The first V3 I bought was a kit that came with a clearo I didn't like, a pair of 18650 Sigelei brand batteries and a single cell charger. The charger is OK for a back-up or travel charger. It charges at a hot one amp, which is a fast charger but runs too much current for long battery life. The Sigelei brand batteries are big unknowns. Nobody has ever seen specs published for Sigelei brand batteries. I still use them once in a great while. 18490/18500 is my preferred battery with the V3 and V5 as it is the best compromise between battery size and capacity for me. 10amp batteries are more than enough for my vaping purposes so I use Efest red 18500 1100mAh batts that cost less than $6 a pop. As for battery chargers I have used a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 for two years without complaint. It's small enough to pack into my overnight bag, too.

Just wanted to mention, the kit over on ebay is very nice. I just received it today. 2 Day free shipping. The tube is very nice!! It comes with both bottom caps and the clone Protank (Sigelei batteries & a charger).

Don't see any any defective product warranty from the vendor. It happens with Chinese made products. At this price, there should be a defective product warranty.

I put my trust into them though. It just seems so well built. There shouldn't be any problems. I may go back and get myself the 25.00 V3 flat at movapes because I do like these zmax's. I think I did see a year warranty on them. My v5 is about 7 months old and going as strong as when I got it out of the box.:)

well, she finally died. well, it's more like I killed her. the board went wonky again so I went to remove it to straighten it out. dropped it, my waiting cat promptly smacked it/chased it/had her way with it on the floor for about 15 seconds. it wouldn't work when I put it back in, electronics don't like static electricity filled cats and carpets, WHO KNEW!

anyways, I looked back at my recipt and it lasted my 370 days, was heavily abused, went through extreme weather conditions (I work outside in Canada and would often keep it in my jacket, it got COLD, was also dropped in the snow a few times). was a true work horse, and my first APV, she will always be remembered.

As for my vaping future, I've upgraded myself to an IPV3 150W, so I will be looking for that user group thread.

However, if anyone ever asks me to recomend an APV in the $40 range, my answer will always be Sigelei ZMAX v5.

It's been nice posting with you all, Merry Christmas, and happy vaping.

You have moved on to another device and that's great, frank. Glad to hear that the Sigelei worked so long and well for you. Don't be stranger. You can always contribute good info for Sigelei users here.

One of my two V3s is approaching two years old. Both still work fine. The V5 I purchased last April is still my daily rig. That is the one I repaired with a new Omron switch last autumn.

I doubt that I will be following the increased power upgrade path. I will probably quit vaping before that happens but who knows? Vaping a carto tank at seven watts still works for me so I don't need to go there yet.
