Sigelei Zmax V3 and V5 Telescopic: User's Group

The new V5 will join the existing family of four. The two on the left are V3s, the two on the right are V5s. On the far left is a first version V3 with the non-removable top cap.

This V5 is my favorite, It has the sigelei logo on the tube and the CE logo on the battery cap. It also has the rare stainless steel button.

My first V3 has the non removeable cap and my second has the ss button.

I've got good or bad news for all you collectors. Here's a model I haven't seen ...

I usually go to FB and see if they are active when I say a vendor looks "legit".

I don't know if any of you have Sig's carry for the zmax but I have 2 and have found them handy.

I took the google challenge. There's quite a few small vendors showing up with stock but at $75 and up per their website. I also looked at a few classifieds on different forums. They are still in demand, just don't see them often.

I hear that. If the Spire price drops again I might buy two. Keep one for a collector's item and slam V5 internals (+ Omron switch upgrade) into the other.

I got a call back from Nolan at Vapor Room 909. He will not be able to look at his V5s in stock until later in the day. He had these for some time and they were not moving so he put them on clearance. He couldn't remember all of the finish details but said that the main photo on his site (the dark photo with the the V5 laying down and the top cap showing) was taken in house and shows one of the V5 batch he has in stock. Nolan said he has only a few left.

I ordered one his V5s. Total was $21.49. Shipping was free but I had to pay CA sales tax. I should get it pretty quick being in-state.

I have been salivating over the Spire since it was introduced. I will pull out a V5 board and replace the V3 board that is in it. Still too much money.

So true Robert, we have an industrial roll of plastic kitchen wrap we must have bought 8/9/10? Years ago and the thing just keeps on going , the box it came in is wearing out before the wrap is gone .......not to mention the 55 gallon tub of vitamins.....

I went ahead and bought one too. Big thanks to Stiksave! Aside from wanting an extra backup, I don't have a V5 with that style removable cap so this will be a nice addition to my other two V5's.

Yzer, that V5 in the photo you posted is my fav as well. I really like that smooth stainless steel button.

I think we bought the V5s with the SS button from Desert Vapes in the spring of 2014. They were not advertised as being anything special, we just got them on the luck of the draw. There don't seem to be many of these around. Some of the Spires had SS buttons. I'll bet Sigelei had some of these buttons left over from Spire production and used them up on a batch of V5s.

I took photos of the SS button when I did the switch replacement on the V5 that fall. The SS button is hollow and a soft silicone plug fits inside it. The silicon plug allows a snug fit against the switch (which is mounted on top of the board) at all times. As a result these buttons don't rotate easily or rattle if properly installed. The SS button and silicon plug are shown in the lower left of this photo.
