I took it to my B&M a FEW times and he says I'm doing something wrong every time, but I just recorded it doing it about 4 times in a couple of minutes, it's getting worse, and I'll show it to the owner there, he tends to actually listen to me lol.

I've been having the same issue with mine. 100 clicks does not resolve, but somewhat helps. I was up to 50% misfire or going into menus. 100 click improved it and I noticed my board had turned a little in the tube
It's an issue from the beginning that you have to push it just right. Sometimes on the center sometimes on the edges at different angles. I believe the problem is two fold. One the switch is a poor choice by sigelie. I have a kamry k200 mod that's my back up due to stripped 510 after a month. It has a small switch just like an ego. Same button size as v3. It never ever misfires, neither does the 1yr 4 month old ego with the small switch.

The switch in the v3 was originally designed for a button 4 times bigger I think...
The dome in the switch also gets pitted or carboned up and likes to work at certain angles, or areas of the dome. to add to to that I believe the dome contact is also free to spin causing the angle you have to push it to change. A smaller switch would resolve the issue.

Second, since the button is so finicky if the board moves in the slightest or turns in the tube, it changes the angle and could make it difficult to hit the sweet spot. A slight movement of the board would be hard to notice through the screen.

It sounds like your switch is already really bad and if 100 click doesn't resolve it, I would get a replacement.

Don't forget about the beyond vape Spire . A fancy v3 with 1yr claimed warranty.
    Available at beyondvape or vaportek.
I haven't seen any evidence that the switch on the Spire is different from that used on the Sigelei, other than the metal button having a "snug fit" that doesn't rattle. The Vapr Tek site page for the Spire has ten customer reviews: one of which complains of button misfires. It looks to me like the $99.99 (body only) for the Spire buys you a new version Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3 with nicer trim, silver plated battery spring, silver plated positive battery post, cone and flat head top caps and a 12 month vendor warranty.

The Spire is certainly worth consideration but it looks as if a Spire owner runs at least the same risk of receiving a defective dome switch as with the Sigelei branded product. In the end the warranty is the best insurance against switch problems. The longer the warranty the better depending on how much you want to pay for it.

Still no misfires on my 11 month old or 3 month old Sigelei V3s.

If I'm going to spend 100 bucks on a rebranded v3 with some trim modifications and a warranty, then I might as well take an extra 60 bucks and get a ProVari.

I personally think that about the maximum price on a V3 or V5 I would pay is about $60.00. A ProVari can be expected to last at least 3 years. So If I am counting on a Sigelei or V3 to last a year, then the price I need to pay for a V3 has to be about 1/3 of the ProVari.

I agree guys. But with all the talk of wanting metal buttons and spending 80.00 on a kit. I figured I'd throw it our there... Funny thing is I called the company and asked them about buying the drip ring separately. Answer no. Then I asked them/ told them it was made by sigelie and they denied it.. Lol. I'm sure the board is exactly the same. I asked someone that has one on the forum to do a software version ck.. Well see what it come back as..

Thanks to those who have posted info regarding more vendors for V3 and V5. These are new to us at this thread. If you purchase from one of these let us know how it went. Info on delivery and detailing (metal button, logos, etc.) are always appreciated.

I got mine from gothic vapor, since at the time it was the only V5 kit I could find. I received it in 3 days with a 30 day warranty. Great customer service too. I actually called the "contact us" number and an actual person answered the phone. She was very knowledgable about the product and answered all my questions. I received a Zmax with a metal fire button no logo and they even threw in a bootle of juice. All in all get experience with this vendor.

The least expensive new Provari (body only) is $160 including a 12 month warranty. An additional 12 month warranty is available for $25 if purchased together with the Provari.

The least expensive price for new Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3s (body only) has been about $40 with a 30 day warranty.

Without data regarding defects and how long either mod stays in service before requiring repairs or replacement no one can be sure which mod represents the best value over extended periods of time.

We are talking about two very different mods and one costs more than four times as much as the other. Cost of replacement or DIY repair for the Sigelei can make sense for many buyers. Especially when replacement the Sigelei is faster and perhaps less expensive than sending a Provari back for repair. For the $185 cost of keeping a Provari for two years you could purchase 4.6 Sigelei V3s, which is more than one new V3 every six months.

I agree with you and I do not have an issue with $40.00 for a Sigelei. I have one and I like it. When I don't want to carry around my MVP's I grab the Zmax. I'm not brave enough to take my ProVari out of the house for the very reason you mention.

At more than $60.00 is where I start to see diminishing returns, and certainly not the $100 to $110 being asked for the Spire. Although it is supposed to have a 1 year warranty as well.

The extra year for the extended warranty in my opinion is a sucker bet. The build quality of a ProVari is legendary and if it lasts 12 months, then the odds are it will last 12 more.

When replacement costs are around 25% of a ProVari, I understand the logic. When replacement costs get to be 50 to 75 percent, then to me it makes less sense.

I had no intention picking up my ProVari. In Tampa I tried it, and the feel and quality was very evident. Much more so than anything else I had picked up...And still it was a debate.

I get it. If an MVP or Sigelei can be had for 39.00, then 159 for a body is a bit long. But if you start looking at those devices at $70.00, which I have seen, they are not quite as compelling.

I have had two good experiences with Desert Vapes purchasing both a V3 and V5. As of right now only the stainless versions are in stock for the V5. No V3's are in stock. The shipping was very quick. I had both within three days. There prices are very good and shipping cost low. Recommended. The link is correct it is for the V5.

I have the same problem attempting to copy Desert Vape links. If I copy the Sigelei V5 link directly it looks like this...

iTaste MVP Variable Voltage Box Mod (2600mah)

If I type in a fake URL like this...

Hey Desert Vape, fix your Sigelei URLs!

I can paste the URL over it using the link edit button...

or make it look like this...

Welcome Millinium! Hope you enjoy the V5.

Care and feeding of the V5 is the same as V3.

-Use Noalox on the telescopic tube threads and the battery cap threads. None needed on the 510/eGo threads or the top cap threads.
-Remove the top cap, clean and dry the the 510/eGo connector and inside of the top cap with Kleenex on a daily basis.
-Adjust the tube length properly for batteries longer than 18350. Sigelei Zmax Telescopic Battery Adjustment.
-Use quality batteries like AW or Efest IMR (non-protected).
-These Sigeleis are tough but avoid hard drops if you can.
-Use the RMS power and voltage setting, not Mean.
