Ok. Finally received my V5. Pretty impressive so far. Now all I have to do is figure which V/W work best for what I vape. This is what's new to me...the whole watts and voltage aspect. Any advice?
Would anyone else like to see a Sigelei 30wat mod? Yihiecigar has the SX350 chip coming out but they've stated that they're not authorizing Sigelei to use it. They seem to be open to suggestions though, maybe we could suggest an authorization to Sigelei on Yihi's FB page (those who are interested)
The SX350 has some nice features I'd like to use, but if they don't let sigelei put it in their tubes, I probably won't get one : c
I would like to see a smaller form factor, lighter in weight, with a higher mah battery. It is all in the hands of the battery technology geeks at this point. Many of us are low wattage vapers. I understand the rush to high wattage for clouds but not everyone is into this. If it goes this way I can only hope the setting scale goes down to 5-6 watts so it is usable for the rest of us.
Seems like you were right yzer unlike the old version after changing the battery it did not lose any setting actually it recalls all my previous setting.Your Sigelei V3 looks good and looks like a new production model with the removable top cap and probably with the current firmware.

This post showed me something I didn't know about the two firmware versions. I just checked this on my two V3s. I use VW all of the time so I never looked into this.Seems like you were right yzer unlike the old version after changing the battery it did not lose any setting actually it recalls all my previous setting.
The Samsung battery it lasted 36hrs about 10ml of e-juice before it dropped down to 3.5V.

So far, these Sigelei Zmax firmware versions are known.
First version V3: SI V1.1
Second version V3: SI V1.5a
Beyond Spire (a Sigelei V3 variant): SI V1.8
V5: SI V2.0a
Correct. The Spire is a V3 variant.I may have missed this but I presume the Spire does not have then charger function?
Correct. The Spire is a V3 variant.
Firmware is not hardware but program code. If the Spire used the latest Sigelei firmware for V3 which is SI V1.5a then the Spire display would say Sigelei on start-up and not Beyond. The Sigelei-written firmware version SI V1.8 written for the Spire is responsible for having the Beyond logo appear on start-up and maybe some additional display or menu tweaks.I am surprised if they went to all the trouble with the body Spire did not use the latest chip.

My older V3 will remember the last VW setting used after a battery change but not the last VV setting, defaulting to 3.0V. My new version V3 remembers the last VW and VV settings used after a battery change.
Your Samsung battery is performing very well.
However...
On the new V3 firmware (SI V1.5a) if you switch between VV and VW at Menu Item #7 the last wattage setting used will be remembered but the last voltage setting used will not be remembered and will default to 3.0V.
