In the sigelei Zmax line:

Mini: Solid 18350 tube. Improvements made but no model changes
V1: Solid tube, 510 only. Discontinued.
V2: Solid tube, 510/eGo, improvements made without model change.
V3: Telescopic tube. Does not replace V2. Improvements made without model changes.
V4: Doesn't exist.
V5: Telescopic tube. Does not replace V3. Adds cell phone charger, puff counter and new OLED display.

Sigelei makes other products like the Bobo line which include Zmax technology but not the name.

There isn't a Vamo V4 either. 4 is considered an unlucky number in much of Asia, like 13 is in Western culture. 4 is pronounced si in Chinese, the same as the word for death.

Awesome! Thanks, I def. need all the help I can get. Hopefully, Ill have it early on in the week.

You're going to LOVE it. It took me a week into vaping to realize that I was terribly limited by the Halo Triton kit I initially bought...it is a good setup but wanting to find other tanks to screw onto in was more trouble than it was worth. Absolutely LOVE my Sigelei Zmax V5 kit that I got from eLiquid-USA for $57!! Get some good quality high drain batteries in order to utilize the Zmax at it full potential....the ones it ships with will only provide enough power for it to run at about 1/2 of the power it's capable of!!

Thanks to those who have posted info regarding more vendors for V3 and V5. These are new to us at this thread. If you purchase from one of these let us know how it went. Info on delivery and detailing (metal button, logos, etc.) are always appreciated.

I ordered my (gorgeous) black chrome Sigelei Zmax V5 from eLiquid-USA.com for $57 and received it 4 business days later. It has a chrome-looking metal button with very little play in it. No markings on the MOD. Software: IS v2.0a. All threads are beautifully cut and sharp....a small coating of Noalox in the telescoping tube worked wonders as far as removing ALL of the (tiny bit of) play that they had. The kit came with a single bay 1000ma charger, one Sigelei 2200mAh ICR 18650 battery, one Sigelei 900mAh ICR18350 battery, an instruction manual (basic), one Vivi Nova tank and the USB charging adaptor. I also ordered some extra batteries, one of which was not included in the package. I have emailed them 3 times (replied to the order auto-generated email and through the website while logged in twice) with no reply. **Research the most reputable vendors and spend an extra couple of bucks if necessary to deal with those with good customer service in case you need it! I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about the Zmax V5 in Black Chrome.
YMMV

It is strange the V5 does not have the logo like the V3 and previous versions. At first I thought knockoffs. However it appears they are all that way. I would like to know why they quit the logo. The only explanation is it could be rebranded by repackaging with a user specified brand. I like the black chrome as well. I think it is very elegant. Nice choice.

Vendors have a good deal of choice regarding detailing when they order product from Sigelei whether it's a Mini, V2, V3 or V5. They can specify if they want the laser etched logos or not, how many logos and where they appear. Laser etching is not limited to only the Sigelei logo and units may be ordered without laser etching. We have seen the CE logo etched on battery caps and the Zmax logo on the tube backs, as well. Button material is a vendor ordering choice, too. These choices have no bearing on how recent the Sigelei product is. These are add-on options that the vendor can pay for or not. The finish: brushed stainless, color coats, etc, is also optional.

As we have seen with the case of the Beyond Spire: Sigelei will make a custom product for a vendor (in this example: a custom V3) and put the vendor name on it.

So far we have seen no production changes or improvements in V5. We have only seen variation in trim detail that were made for individual factory orders. For Mini, V2 and V3 there have been several important changes or improvements including the firmware, the removable top cap and the one-piece 510/eGo connector. These improvements were made without changing the Mini, V2 and V3 model numbers or names. All V5s incorporated the removable top cap and one-piece 510/eGo connector from the beginning.

Beware of the lurking Spire assassins after this comment! :D

Yeah...I grabbed a couple AW and efest batteries. The batteries that came with it are garbage! The AW ones seem to be doing me the best with the efest coming in a close second! So far loving it. Using it with an Aerotank at 4.5v with good flavor, vapor production. I think I have the Mod bug now.

I ordered mine from them as well. Very poor customer service IMHO but I did get the same kit you got in black for 57 so...I'll take it as a win.

I would be suspect of the coil in the 30B. See if it continues on a new coil when that time comes.

4.3V is too much charge on the battery. Before going further I would measure the battery voltage with a DMM as well as the voltmeter in the Sigelei to see if they agree. I can't do without a DMM for vaping. I test every carto coil before I fill a carto for the first time.

I posted before that I had problems with a two year-old Trustfire TR 001. When new it would bring batteries to 4.17V or so at the time the red light turned off and the green light turned on. Unfortunately, the TR 001 would continue to trickle charge batteries as long as they were left in the charger with the green light turned on. Leaving the batteries in the charger for several hours after the green light went on resulted in batteries overcharged to 4.3V.

You can put the overcharged battery into the Sigelei and see if the overvoltage protection will allow you to use it. If it does then use the battery but keep alert for signs of battery overheating and potential failure.

4.3V probably won't kill the battery but it will shorten the battery lifespan if done frequently.

I recommend the four bay Nitecore Intellicharger i-4. It isn't perfect. The sliding battery contacts are a bit balky. However, it does a decent job at charging and stops charging completely after batteries hit 4.2V. I bought one from Amazon for $17 several weeks ago.
