I remove a carto tank for refilling almost every day. When I do I use Kleenex to dry and clean the center contact in the 510 connector and the drip well and eGo threading around it. I also make sure the atomizer contacts are clean and dry. So, this is daily cleaning for me.

Once a month cleaning: I remove the battery spring from the battery cap and use a dry, clean cloth to buff it clean. I clean the inside of the battery cap with a cloth dampened in rubbing alcohol. I also dampen a Q-tip in alcohol to clean the center battery contact inside the tube.

Every other month: I use a cloth dampened in alcohol to clean all tube and battery cap threads. I also apply a small amount of Noalox to all of these threads. The Noalox does three things: it improves electrical contact between threads reducing misfires, lubricates the threads and tightens up the fit between threaded tubes.

I would do all of these maintenance steps to a brand new sigelei Zmax V3 telescopic soon after receiving it.

I've had my sigelei almost four months. I get occasional misfires but the problem hasn't gotten progressively worse.

Looks good but is chrome not brushed like the era clone and is a bit widther than the beveled edge of the zmax

I like better the era clone looks, but both looks pretty good, my igo l is also hcigar from fasttech and performs awesome, both have a very solid build

Looks better in my SVD

Ok 2 quick questions for all you Zmax pros. I just ordered the Sigelei Zmax v3 from Varitube.com. I chose the flat top model. Anyhow i elected to just buy the tube instead of the kit. I already have a charger and a ton of 18350's from my Vmax and my EpicStorm.

First question........Will my Zmax come with both battery end caps? I didnt see anything in the product description that said anything about 2 different end caps!

Second question..........I am looking for some good 18650's and or some good 18490's. I have a bunch of 18350 Efest's and quite honestly, I've never been extremely impressed with them. Any suggestions on some good batts and where to get them would be helpful!

Lastly, I just wanted to say that I am very glad that I saw this thread! I had been going crazy deciding whether I wanted to get a Vamo or Innokin SVD for the past 5 days. I knew that I wanted a mod that had super flexibility with the battery but both of those mods seem way to long in overall length! I've been using an Epic Storm from L-Rider for the past 6 months, and I am so tired of changing batteries. 1 18350 doesnt last long enough. I knew I wanted an 18650 mod but being able to utilize my vast collection of 18350's was very appealing. Anyhow even though I dont have this device in my hand yet, it just seems like the perfect mod.

Thanks

JPD

jdiulus, welcome to the group and congratulations on your choice. I purchased my Sigelei in April just a few weeks before kits started to appear with the two end caps. Mine came with the taller 15mm end cap. After stretching the battery spring 2mm it works fine with all battery sizes from 18350 to 18650. I really don't know why the shorter end cap was introduced except to make the mod just that much shorter.

Maybe someone has made a mod-only purchase from Varitube recently and can provide the information.

I haven't used anything other than E-fest 18350's so I can't make comparisons for those. These are 800 mAh. I get about 2-3 hours off of them vaping 7 watts and 2 to 3 ml per day. A lot of people seem to be unimpressed by vaping times from 18350 of all makes. I only use them when I want the smaller size but in the Sigelei Telescopic 18490/18500 isn't much longer than 18350.

Same goes with the 1100 mAh Efest 18500s, I haven't use other 18500s or 18490s. However, I have used 1000 mAh batts of another size before and can say the Efest 18500 seems like a very nice batt. I get 6 hours off the 18500 at 7 watts and 2 to 3 ml per day.

I'm still using a pair of generic 18650s I got with my Sigelei kit from ElectronicStix. These are 2200 mAh and last me a good 12 hours.

Most of the time I'm using 18500 during the day and 18650 at home. I rarely use 18350 anymore.

There seem to be a lot of 18650 brands that get raves here at ECF including AW, Efest, Panasonic, and Samsung. I'm sure there are other excellent 18650s.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm glad to here that the cap doesn't seem to matter. I really didn't want to start messing around with different battery caps to switch battery configs. I am always trying to minimize the ecig crap that i have to bring to work everyday, and 2 caps is just one more headache. I just want to keep things simple and it sounds like this Zmax is going to achieve that goal for me.

Well my Sigelei Vmax v3 (Flat Top) arrived in the mail from Varitube.com today! I've only been using it for a few hours but I think i made the right choice. I also looked at the Innokin SVD and the Vamo v3. I did receive 2 end caps as well.

I also bought 2 new efest 18650's and an efest 18500. Although i havent tried either model yet. I've been running my 18350's in it thus far.

The only problem that has surfaced so far is with the new Kanger T3 (Solar Flare) that I bought. I can not get this thing screwed on correctly. I managed to get it on by disassembling it, and then putting each piece of the clearo on (1 piece at a time). Screwed the base onto the Zmax, then the atomizer onto the base, and then filled the tank with juice, and turned my zmax upside down so i could screw the tank onto the base/atomizer head. I can only get like one turn onto the ego threads, and it's just awkward.

Anyone have any good suggestions for bottom fed clearos that actually fit on this device? Everyting i read said that everything with EGO threads should work.

I haven't tried a clearo that doesn't work. Evo or 510 threads...

Congrats on a great mod...
