xtar and Nitecore chargers are the big favorites here at ECF. My next purchase will be an xtar WP-6II. It charges up to six batts at a time. I currently use a single bay charger that came with my sigelei kit. It's a 1 amp charger and charges a 18650 in under two hours. I also use a Trustfire TR-001 two bay that I've had for years. It's too slow for 18650 but fine on 18500 and smaller. The Xtar I'm looking at charges at 600 mA, a good compromise between charging speed and good battery lifespan.

I've got the 1 amp single-bay Sigelei charger, too.

Thing is fast.. 1 hour for 350/490, 2 hours for 650.

Could you explain your last sentence a little more? Thanks!

Yeah you don't want a bad charger. You'll want to consider the charging amps. And the fishing charge cycle. Some cheap ones take 6-8 hrs to charge a 18650. For fast charge 1 amp on a 650 will charge In a couple hours tops from 3.2v. I like the kinds that can adjust output between 500mah or 1 amp, either manual or auto. I've got an efest SODA charger and really like it. All the features I want at the lowest price. I got it for less than a trustfire which I believe is 420mah output

Fast chargers aren't always the best choice if you want the battery to last for the most charge cycles. The 1 amp (1000mA) Sigelei charger gets a battery pretty warm but it is fast. The old Trustfire TR-001 is 500mA and takes something like eight hours to charge a pair of 18650s. The 18650s will probably give me more charge cycles off the Trustfire because the battery doesn't get that warm during a charge. Heat is said to be the #1 killer of Li-ion batteries.

Like JeremyR wrote, there is more to the charging profiles than just the mA rating but I'm not expert on this. The Xtar and Nitecore chargers get good reviews almost everywhere.

I just picked up two 18350 efest v2 IMRs to test if my Zmax could reach its 15w and 6v limits.

Even though I'll rarely (if ever) use those values, the Zmax reached them without a hitch using the stacked configuration. It was great to see the unit reach its potential!

Prior to picking up the little guys, I've been using panasonic 18650s. Depending on the battery voltage and resistance of my coil, I would max out between 9-13 watts.

I also picked up an IGO-s. I'm a fairly new vaper (2 months in) and have been having a hell of a time getting into the world of rebuildables.

What kind of tank are you using on it? I have a z5 in the mail, I'm about to submit an order for efest 18650 batteries and a nitecore charger, but I'm wondering if I should get one of these big fancy looking rebuildable atomizers for it. Like, would it just be a waste to put a protank on it?

I've been happy using Protanks, Vivi Novas, Iclears... even Joyetech style atomizers/tanks on my Zmax. While keeping in mind the 1.2 ohm minimum, you can use whatever you like.

If you like the look of rebuildables and are willing to put the time in to learn how to create a coil and wick system that works, by all means go that route! Keep in mind, you can also rebuild protank coils to provide more flavor and vapor than stock. There's a tonne of resources online that can answer any questions you may have. Don't be hesitant to send me a PM as well.

Would it be a waste to put a Protank on a Zmax? Not in the least bit.

Congrats on having a Zmax on the way.

Much appreciated :toast:

I can't stop looking at this one UD AGA-TD SS Pyrex Glass SS Rebuildable Atomizer

But I'm thinking I might just wait until I have the actual Zmax in my hand. I've never have a mod so I don't really know what to expect as far as how big it is in my hand. I mean sure you can look at numbers and measurements but it's never the same as actually seeing something and holding it.

It's pretty small in 350 & 490/500 modes. I forget the exact measurements, but something like 4" in 350, and 4.25" in 490.

Definitely can carry around / stealth vape.

Even with the 650, still relatively small. Something like 4.75"?

And I've carried that around, too, with no issues. Though it does have a bit of heft at that level.

About 13/16" diameter.

Aside from my slight display slippage, I'm loving it so far! (Almost been a week.. :D )

If they incorporated both first and second board designs the board would be solid. Cradle from second, and retainer from the first. Hope they do it. Mines been working good! Just fell off counter to tile floor, top popped a little loose, like can't even get a finger nail in the gap, now a days I just pull the tele tube off put the 510 on the floor and with a dish towel just put weight on the tube and it presses right back tight.

I have a V3 round top that I purchased new. It has the correct credentials as reported above with the version and Sigelei name etc. I just received the second one which was purchased from a forum member and it is a flat top. The top of the round top comes off for "deep" cleaning. The top of the 2nd one does not come off. Isn't the second one's top supposed to unscrew?
