I'd dare add another reason to your thesis for fear of ruining a perfect moment ....# 21 : if we didn't buy the new old stock from MO vapes, vapor beast , " hoard vapes etc.etc they would be relegated to some back room closet in Brooklyn, paduka, or sin city ,and no one would know,nor care about their significance......like the dog in the shelter that nobody wanted , or the last piece of pizza in the box

Yeah and Im still mad you guys bought em all from Movapes before I had the chance to grab the V5!! I think I found out about the sale the day they ran out of their restocked ones. Almost bought a Tmax from em instead but the reviews I read sounded like it wasnt near the same quality the Zmax line was..

I bought a Tmax about 6 months ago when when they were on sale for $25. I used it for a day and I never went back to it. Aside from quality issues I may or may not be aware of, the main thing that I didn't like was that it's twice as heavy as the Zmax.

lol. I sure did. I'm on the prowl hoping to rehome as many zmax's possible. Our little community needs to be well stocked for the future. I'm glad to hear your doing your part.

Have you played the Sigelei lottery? Did you win? I think I did. My mods just arrived from the Vapor Range memorial day sale. I ordered a Tmax V5 in green. What I got was a Zmax V5 in rainbow! It is a late model with cross cut cap and silver button. However it does have the large bottom cap but no small cap. I am considering ordering another Tmax to see what arrives this time! Also ordered a legend which was pictured in black but stated silver. It arrives in silver. Not a bad unit by the way. I can see what Sigelei was trying to do Pretty much a Zmax body with "Shake and Bake". By the way anyone know how to resize photos for ECF now. It seems my camera photos are being rejected for size.

OK got it. Notice the V3 slant top which was listed as "Yellow" I suspected Chinese gold.

From your photo the "yellow" V3 seems to be one of the bi-metal versions with the outer sleeves made from anodized aluminum.

And it's all your fault Dan the first time I've only bought one of something in quite a while, of course I did order the VTR AS well , for 29$ it should be interesting ......always wanted to play with one butdidn't want to spend the $ on the vape brick ......my justification is that a few years ago I spent 70$ a week in cigarettes, and this is much more fun

Don't ask me about how many short wave radios I've got. I've got ex-government rackmount tube-type R390A and SP-600 that have worked 35 years for me. I've got a fifteen year-old Sangean ATS 606 digital portable and ordered the upgraded Sangean ATS 909X today. Can't wait to plug it into the the 120' longwire late at night next week.

Interesting YZ I collected quite a few trans-oceanic's years ago , really liked the sangean line( had the 818 and 818cs).as well as the old Sony's and Grundig ,.got into ham after that ......wow , you brought me back a few years ......

I was a ham for while but then the kids (and a demanding job) came along and I lost the late hours to sleep and the mornings after 4:00 a.m. to the job. I never quit SWLing, though. I have the Collins S-line in the storage shack that I may use again, who knows? Have other radios, too: Hammarlund SP-400, two Hammarlund HQ-140s, Atwater Kent AM radio from the 1920s, two Zenith Transoceanics (love 'em, but they aren't very selective) and several old AM tabletops. Also have boxes of spare tubes.

I am a little nuts. It is sunset and a few minutes ago I was out in the garage listening to Radio New Zealand on the Sangean and flying the Hubsan X-4 quad from the driveway. The V5 was next to the Sangean.

I just checked this website and Zmax V3 (dual end caps) has dropped to $20 now.
