The purchase justification part at this time of year(wife says you bought another what)is tough. Let's see, I have that mini v5 coming to revive one of my broken v5's, I only have a v3 sitting in the drawer now. Mini V5? Never heard of those. I thought all mini's were V3. Isn't there a timeline or listing of some of the variations that are known? That might be interesting.
I got to thinking and I thought Bobo's was considered a SMax at the time. I can remember when I first started looking at Zmax's there was also the Smax which confused me. I don't remember what the difference was between Z and S max's now. Anyone?

Run over with car, drop off building, take the battery out you can drop it in the pool if you want. Might be able to drop it from a low flying plane if it lands in soil and still vape it.
Beat the provari v1, v2 in every way possible.
And sigelei launched their next stage off the reputation the have gained here.. Now everyone considers Sigelei to be very good top of the line Chinese mods. Instead of cheap Chinese mods that aren't labled American and marked up 5 times like they used to.

Zero complaints with my stainless V3 so far. Have 2. Used one for a few months then got another one and using it for a couple of weeks so far. Put the well tested on back in box for backup. I did add some NO-OX grease to the threads on the tube as I caught them arcing a bit once. Was very quiet and I could hear a bit of sizzle, so cleaned and put a tiny bit of NO-OX grease on there. No more issues. I use NO-OX grease on all my mod threads now and just a bit on the spring top and button up in the tube.
I think that about the only way you can damage them is to torque down the tube too much and put too much pressure on the positive post up in there and break loose the circuit board.

I left a message at the Vapor Room 909 answering machine regarding finish details for the clearance V5s. I'll let you know if I get a call back. If these V5s have the slotted top caps, brushed SS finish and laser etched logos I may bite on one. Many times vendors run photos from the Sigelei website that may not show exactly the same version they are selling. This business is not a brick and mortar and the business address is a residential address in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Well, the V5 Mini turned out to be a repackaged V3 closed all the way with a short battery included. I guess it could have been worse. At least it's a Sigelei. The seller couldn't have known what they were as they were all sealed in cellophane.
I got a call back from Nolan at Vapor Room 909. He will not be able to look at his V5s in stock until later in the day. He had these for some time and they were not moving so he put them on clearance. He couldn't remember all of the finish details but said that the main photo on his site (the dark photo with the the V5 laying down and the top cap showing) was taken in house and shows one of the V5 batch he has in stock. Nolan said he has only a few left.
I ordered one his V5s. Total was $21.49. Shipping was free but I had to pay CA sales tax. I should get it pretty quick being in-state.

The new V5 will join the existing family of four. The two on the left are V3s, the two on the right are V5s. On the far left is a first version V3 with the non-removable top cap.
