Funny you mention the lemo 2 and the ZMax, I recently picked up a couple of the lemos on fire sale for that purpose, right now using the prebuilt .5 coil , but after I get bored with it I'm going to build 1.5 or higher and run it on the Z...Very nice tank I have to say

(sigh)

I guess I've moved away from my "tube" mods. The only thing 'tubeish' in current use is a pair of EVOD's.

I also like 'boring'. Almost all are setup with TC wire on box mods. Even an old nautilus is outfitted with a VVTF rba with a TC build+Silica wick (+8mo's and still going strong!).

Looking across the room there are two Lemo2's and a KFv5 in use. All of which could easily be rebuilt with +1.4ohm builds and driven by a Zmax.

I just find the little box mods to be more pocketable.

Yeah, my daily drivers are all boxes. 2 Picos and 3 KSD Mini 25 watt. Can't be beat for shirt pocket carry for sure. But all are topped with eGo ONE Mega tanks built to 1.5ohm. I just like keeping my "Vape Range" to where I can grab anything outta the cabinet and vape it if I want. Just yesterday took the Cool Fire 2 for spin.
@BackDoc your right on with Lemo. Have 2 V1s that were my daily drivers for quite awhile. Retired them when I found my Megas but I'll never part with 'em.

Well, I just had my first ever runaway with a regulated mod, the Z-Max V-5. Wanted to post while still fresh in memory so it went kinda like this... Pulled Sig out of my shirt pocket to take a vape as I had been using it for 30 min or so. Took hit and went to put it back when I heard it still sizzling. Fingers were off button and it was in released position. Clicked it a few times with no effect, screen was lit with 'Low Load' warning. Quickly started unscrewing tank (EVOD Glass) but after couple revolutions and still firing, just gave base quarter turn and it was off/silent/dark. I use the 18500 battery with no spring so is quick to loose contact if base not snug to body. Gave it a short (30 sec) rest to cool then re-snugged base and atomizer. After usual 5 click boot is working fine again. Still set at 7.5W pushing 1.9 ohm coil. Whole episode prolly only amounted to a 10-15 second firing and battery meter did drop to about 2/3 full from a higher level but still well into usable range. Still vaping from it with no repeat so assuming it was just a fluke. Does get your attention though, especially when battery has essentially nowhere to vent in my collapsed setup. Just curious if anyone else has had similar experience with regulated mod (mechs another story...)

Fortunately I've never experienced anything like that. Well there were the auto firing Vision Spinner IIs but they always stopped after a couple seconds and were quickly retired!

Sorry haven't checked ecf for a bit alkanae. No spring allows v5 to use 18500 battery in it's shortest configuration. Attached a pic with fire buttons aligned. Makes for a light, compact, semi-stealthy mod. v5 shorty.jpg

Followed Doc's link to Efun.top. Wanted to add I ordered from them early last year during their Chinese new year sale. After holidays ended, the items were promptly shipped and arrived about two weeks later. One item was on backorder for a couple weeks before manufacturer cancelled production and they sent email offering refund or site credit. I chose refund and it was handled without delay. Have not ordered from them since but was satisfied with their service.

Regarding the Ehpro 101 vs Zmax two things caught my attention. First, no cone threading on 101. Second 'Battery: 18350/18650'. The 18500 used in my Zmax pic is not recommended though likely doable. 18350's are in the 700-800 mAh range which is lowish even for a tootle-puffer. For folks wanting TC and more power though, neither of those issues probably apply.

What is cone threading?

I thought I saw a review on the ehpro 101 showing 2 tube extensions = middle for 18500? I might be wrong. I don't have the time to hunt now. I know the orig has a 18500 variation.

TC's not interesting to me anyway.

Youre right. No 18500.
