Hey Mamu vaping at 6V what do you do to keep the atty (801) from frying to fast. I heard so many issues with atties burning up within a week. I would like to know your steps to prevent something like this. And how long do your atties last vaping at 6V. Thanks any info will help.

The only time I lost attys to 6 volt vaping was when I first got my GG. I popped 6 brand new 901 attys within an hour - bam bam bam - dang!!

I learned rather quickly what to do and what not to do.

Since then, I've not lost any attys to 6 volt vaping and that's been over 2 months now.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared my thoughts about how to be successful with 6 volt vaping in this thread:

Hope this helps!

I typically take my atomizers to the mountains of Xhirau, deep in Asia....from there I find the old witches cabin. I then pay her 6 goats, 2 chickens, and $100 USD. She then blesses my atomizers, and dips them in the water of Xhriau. Needless to say, it's an expensive trip...but I have yet to lose an atomizer :)

you are so sweet thank you so much that pretty much summed it up.

so you put around 5-6 drops in your 801 and can get about 7-9 puffs with 6 volts.

take 2-3 sec drags let go of button without inhaling then hit the button for 1 more second then inhale. Im guessing this will help keep the attie from over heating.

just make sure to keep the attie moist without flooding attie and should be okay for a while. I think i may just try this.

grimmer - that wasn't quite what I said. After 2-3 seconds of dragging, let go of the button and continue to drag - don't press the button again for that extra 1 second drag.
---------------------------------------
I press the button...
I start the drag...
After 2-3 seconds, I let go of the button and continue dragging for 1 more second...
Then I inhale.

If you don't inhale til the drag is done you get the full effects.

Another thing to think about with 6v is the type of atomizer used. I find the 801 style does really well at 6v. Of the 801 style atomizers the BE112 is my favorite.
I don't like 901 style atomizers at 6v; the atty gets too hot and the fluid can taste burnt at times. This is even more true if you are using the RN4075 atomizer. I have heard great things about the 501 at 6v as well, but have yet to try it. Cheers.

I don't understand how to fit in the two 3 volt batteries?
When you say unprotected, do you mean that the case is too short and there is a gap?

How do you guys fill that gap?
Tape?

could someone explain how to use the Silver Bullet with the two CR123A batts?

You can fit two 3v batteries snugly in the current SB. There is no gap. They are unprotected because they dont have the protective covering that the 3.7v does. The protection keeps the 3.7v from overcharging. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I get from listening to Chad. :)

No the 3 volts although less long than the 3.7 volt in there, will not fit in.
What has Chad been smoking?

2 3 volts are about 1.5" longer than the 3.7 volt in there now.
you are trying to fit CR123 x 2 in there now they will not fit. Currently only 2 x CR2 will fit.

Chad

Chad,
the CR and the RCR , are exactly the same length.
They are used mainly for photo.

They measure 1.3380" EACH
look at pic.

The silver bullet will not close...

Could you expand?
