I'm so embarrassed!!
I actually took the protective coating off the Energizer batteries to see if they would fit.
I though unprotected meant without the outside wrapping plastic.

After reading what my wife posted, I need to correct something she posted. A protected battery is one with a PCB to limit its low/high charge/discharge voltage and current. If a lithium battery is overcharged/discharged it can become hot and explode. The shrink wrap or plastic around the cell is there to insulate the cathode or to hold the PCB in place.
oops, sorry. Was trying to help. I know nothing about this stuff. I know mommy stuff, nursing stuff and a wealth of useless knowledge. 
I am estimating 4 weeks until it will be available, hopefully sooner. I am trying to be conservative
Hopefully will have the adapters this thursday, so those who have the 510 version will be happy.

The SB looks amazing. Elegant simplicity. Form and function. If you are keeping a list of definite buyers for the next build, please put me down for one. I'd love to have something that will finally give my SD a run for the money (cause nothing so far has come close).

Also, You will be able to preorder Adapters and tubes if need be.
The way it will work is there will not be kits this time around:
As of tomorrow, the Silver bullet will be priced @ $99, with no other items available.
From there you will be able to add batteries/chargers/atomizers/blank cartridges/adapters/etc. Should also have a section for batteries/chargers/adapters, obviously when you buy the silver bullet you will be able to buy these items at a discount rate.
Also everyone who purchased a SilverBullet in the first batch will receive a coupon code that only they will be able to use to purchase the extened tubes at a discount. Any questions feel free to inquire.
Should have a CC Processor tonight or tomororw (hopefully)

So if I order during the pre-order tomorrow, how long before it arrives at my door?
A few weeks, we sold out the first batch before I even shipped the preorders. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but you never know.
Jumped over to the AltSmoke page when I read that you were going to accept preorders yesterday. I looked all around the AltSmoke site, but could not see where/how to place a pre-order. Is there a secret handshake or something I need to do this ? Did I miss the window already. I put the silver bullet on my wishlist last week, but I have a feeling that's not a bonefide pre-order.
Help me out here. How do I place a pre-order. The bullet looks like a SD on steroids, and I'd luv to get one for my own.

May have two in the running but didn't want to sell them and have that shipment be delayed due to those batteries.
Rob and Chad you are really outdoing yourselves. I love my SB.v1 I wont do the presale this time around for the 18650 battery and bottem piece (funds are way to low this month). But I hope to get it soon........This is SB unbelievable and I thought it couldn't get any better and you come out with V2.....I cant wait to see what is in store next.
Grimmer never fear We won't make you purchase a new unit unless you want to. We'll be selling the tubes seperate as well for whatever reasons may have. I know I saw someone make a Flashlight out of one so maybe others will want to do the same?
Regardless, keep your eyes open for the adapaters. So for all those peeps that have those 901/801 atomizers laying around, you will be able to use them again shortly I've seen similar adapaters selling for $25/pc...I think we can do a lot better than that
