looking to get into DIY ASAP as my stash is going low however I have a few questions.

1. How much flavorings should I buy ( types; I am looking at buying 4oz bottles of flavorings )

2. What are some fool proof flavorings I KNOW I will enjoy last thing I want is to spend money on flavorings I hate. is their like a list or something of flavors in general from any sites that has decent flavoring?

buy samples first and get 4oz you like after. Bull city, wizard lab, ecx all have small sizes to try first.

Edit - if you check out bull city and sort each manufacturer by best seller it will give you a good idea of some top flavors. But no guarantee you will like them

I was planning to buy from wizard lab but how much would you suggest I buy if not the 4oz? I mean i'd like to try various flavors but still have a good amount of juice to make a few 30ml bottles with

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine bases regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.

Then read Ginger's book "E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid". It is a book which I've contributed to that delivers an in depth easy to follow guide in the art of DYI.

I recommend viewing VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety and bookmark it for future reference. It explains safety in all aspects of DYI.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

Maybe this should be a sticky. That would save me so much posting time:)

Start out making 10ml test batches until you find what you like. Or there is the 100 drop method. I would just get the 8 or 10 ml sizes until you know what you like. In the long run it will save you money to figure out what you like. I just started buying 4oz flavors and only about 10 or so at this time. I have several large bottles I hated. Wish I had spent the money on custard lol

Eventually you will end up like many of us. I think I have about 150 flavors lol

The first rule I would suggest to anyone on the verge of DIY is to find recipes you "think or know" you will like and make a shopping list from the ingredients BEFORE buying any... That way you'll have on hand what you need to make a recipe. A lot of people (myself included) will buy a flavor "because it looks good to me" and then find out it really needs something else to make it shine and not have it. There is a lot of trial and error involved, most of which can be avoided by "reading" as much as you can.

The bottom line, this old dog can do it, so can you.

I based my start up flavoring supply list based on the flavor profiles of the juices I tend to buy. Not saying there won't be a flavoring you had no idea was in your favorite juice, but getting the ones that cater to your tastes first will get you started. Worked for me. So far I have only uncovered a few recipes that had me interested to try, that I didn't have a flavoring at least close enough to attempt it.
