I finally had enough of trying to contact eleaf and having them ignore me, so I decided to delve into the issue I was having. Like many others, my center post had recessed and I was getting either "low atomizer" or "no atomizer" along with the fact that it wouldn't fire. The solution, is easier than it seems. Yes, you could go with a spacer, however, I do not like the idea of the post pushing down into the mod any more than it's supposed to.

Anyway, here are some pics:

You want to start by removing the two T5 Torx screws.

GENTLY lift up the top cap. VERY GENTLY!! There is not much play in the wires.

See that white glob of mystery stuff? That is the issue. You want to gently take a #1 screw driver and very lightly push up on the center of the white blob until you see the center pin rising and the o-ring below it returning to normal.

Put the top cap back on and screw the T5s back in. Next, take a paperclip, needle, or a small screw driver and gently push the o-ring under the center post back under the pin. Alternatively, at this point, you could opt to replace this ring with a more substantial one, negating the issue in the future. You have now solved your receding center pin issue!! Give her a vape!!

Thanks for the nice write-up and pics. Should be helpful for some.

I just put the adapter on, and leave it there, but not everyone will be happy with the extra height.

That was the big issue for me, I like the stealth of it plus my Naut tanks. My thought is that it should work as designed, you should not have to settle for a spacer or adapter.

I didn't have any pin issues until I started to use the adapter. I lack a tool small enough to get at the pin. The idea of taking my stick apart terrifies me. I "think" I was able to pull it up slightly with a super thin pair of tweezers. I was using carto tanks today. Going back to the Aero and Geni tanks and hope I don't have to do more.

Also saving this in case I need to take more drastic measures.

my included 510/eGo connector is not making contact to the terminal right out of the box. Yet my Yocan tank works directly on the iStick and the connector works on another battery with both my tanks. I need the connector to work so I can use my EMOW tank with the iStick. It appears my iStick battery terminal is recessed out of the factory. Sound about right?

Perhaps, or maybe your Yocan runs long and squashed it a tad.

Did you use the Yocan first, and then try the adapter? Seems odd that the supplied one won't make contact, but not impossible by any means.

Either case, turn it off. Wiggle up the center pin a tiny bit, rocking from all around the sides. Give it another try. And it usually doesn't take much at all.

there's really no need to disassmble to make this adjustment, you can lift the pin with a toothpic or a pin from the top. I've also been able to get the pin to move enough to work on my emow tank by whipping the istick downward, like you're trying to get honey to the top of the bottle... whipping it a few times is often enough to get a connection after using a tank with a slightly longer pin.

That worked for me for awhile. Unfortunately, the whole contact has failed on me. Ive had it about 3 months. Not really angry about it- cheaper than cigs :)

I think im going to pick up an MVP 20 watt when I get paid as I really like the MVP's design and its spring loaded connector. That said, I think im going to try and fix the istick's connector by either replacing it with something I find online, or tearing the one I have apart and seeing if I can conjure up something. Everything else on the eleaf still works, and I love its size for carry (MVP is more for at home or work)..
