The Wismec site says it uses an 18650 whose "discharging current should be above 25A"...

If I'm a VW (only) vaper who has never gone over 18-Watt...could I safely use my 20A LG-HE4 's ???

[If not...which battery should I consider using?]

..

You should be fine, I'm using 20A samsung R25's in all my mods.....Wismec is covering his behind for those vapers that will use it on 80w....personally I don't go over 50 to 60w on single battery mods...

I just stick with the main, big boy brands - the popular names I am familiar with
since I also rarely wonder past 20w, my goal is " mAh " - I like the brand name 3000mah (30Q)

Yes, when a 3.7 battery is fully charged it will read around 4.2. That's a good thing. I usually don't run mine much lower than 3.7 before charging. I'm not sure if it's good to do but that's how I've always done it.
I run my batteries until the mod says the battery is dead. On the charger its usually around 3.4-3.5V

@Mooch had a list of the "best" 3000mAh batteries on PBusardo's site:

#1.Samsung 30Q..."many recycles, retains more capacity than VTC6".

#2.Sony VTC6.

#3.LG HG2..."lowest retaining capacity of the 3".

yepper, when I seen that I felt pretty good about myself BECAUSE I felt the same way :w00t: (real life experience)

I thought the HG2 was gonna be the best , but turns out the 30Q seems to ALWAYS win out in the long run...

This is from the Wismec website. They say it's better to take the battery out for charging. Might be because of extra heating from charging???

yepper, I feel that is pretty much Lawyer Speak

and they IMPROVE / UPGRADE the on-board charger to a spiffy 2A qwik output... :w00t: :)

I really like this mod, but using a 3000mah 18650, at 12 watts, I am have a hard time getting a whole day out of it. That was never an issue with my tarot nano, same settings and it's 2500 mAh internal. I may go back to it, I hate having to worry about charged batteries.
I get over 24 hours with mine with 3000mah LG's
