It all comes down to stress for me I've found. Only a real cigarette can give me that filled lung feeling that just eases my nerves completely. I can't go back to being a full time smoker though. I really don't enjoy it much, and prefer the taste of my Joye over it any day. For now I'm going to have a couple analogs each day, and on the 30th of this month I'm going to try and fully quit analogs again. It shouldn't be hard because my stress will have moved out of the house then. ;)

I literally quit analogs after two days of vaping, but tried 3 analogs again at various times during my first couple of months. I didn't see this as a "slip", but more as an "experiment". What I found was that each time, analogs tasted worse to me. I actually forced myself through the third one just so I could put it out and get back to my 510. After that third try, I realized that not only did they taste nasty to me, but that the smoke produced from my Camel Light wasn't as dense as the clouds of vapor I was putting out from my Vypr 510, or even my Joye 510. During the last three months I have not even had the urge to "experiment" anymore. My wife still smokes over a pack a day, often in my presence, and the smell does not entice me back to Camels, I am actually finding it to be repellant! I think this very same thing happens to many people, but the time frame is probably unique based on the individual. Keep at it, don't try to force yourself, and just let your tastes convert naturally. Plus, even just a couple of analogs a day is a helluva lot better than a whole pack or more! You are still doing your body a favor.

I can identify with your slipping. I did the same thing. Mostly because I wasn' satisfied with the amount of vapor I was getting. I now have a passhrough that works with my KR808D-1 cartos as well as a Silver Bullet. No more problems with Vapor.

There is some kind of psychological crap that goes on in one's mind when they switch though. For me, once I satisfied my vapor issue, quit wheezing and started to realize the money I was saving, the psychological stuff kind of drifted away.

Don' be too hard on yourself. It happens. Just get back on your e-cig and stay the course. You'll be glad you did.

You are definately gonna be more satisfied with the ego than the 510.

You are right tho, I was watching the dvd "Daybreakers" and Ethan Hawke was smoking the whole time, cig after cig, and he looked like he was really enjoying it too. I was sooo jealous and craving one bad, this after months of vaping.

You can really see how this once beautiful man has been ravaged by his lifelong habit.

And you know what, that's not gonna be you or me either for that matter so we can both feel good and have pride in what we've accomplished.

I can relate. I have been smoke free since Feb 22 and pretty happy with vaping... but lately I have been having some really strong cravings for a cigarette. I have been sorely stressed out by several life changing situations that are going on this year (critically ill loved ones, impending job loss, etc.) and I haven't had a cig yet simply because I don't have easy access to them and wont buy any. But man... I really do want to try one at times.

I'm going to make a crazy suggestion. Sure, go with the eGo. I have one and I agree, awesome PV. But recently I picked up one of these, it's either an RN4081 or a clone of one:

DealExtreme: $11.26 Quit Smoking USB Rechargeable Electronic Cigarette with 5-Refills

It's not the greatest e-cig, and it's no 510 but I'm finding I really like it for one reason. It responds quite well to "smoking" like a real cigarette and it really does give me that full lung hit I crave. It won't replace the eGo for me, but now and again when I'm really aching for that lung hit it does the trick.

I agree with you sheep. I have a couple of short batteries-they were my original e-cig purchase- that are great for just that reason, big time throat and lung hit. I don't use them for everyday vaping, but keep them around and charged for those moments....and after three or four hits from one of those batts..I'm good to go.

I am with you Doberz. I did real well with vaping early, then my mother in law moved in for two months. She is a wonderful lady, but smokes and it lured me back. I tried to go back, but everything has a real "chemical" taste to it. I picked it back up again the other day and it definitely tasted better, but I have not made the commitment yet to give it 100%. Anyone have a cure for the chemical taste? Tried different devices, juices etc.

DIY mixing does it for me... somehow it seems to taste better when you make it yourself. I highly recommend the nic juice at xtremevaping.com, I get it at 100mg and cut it down to whatever I feel like, I can use any proportion of pg/vg... plus, it ends up being even MORE dirt cheap than vaping already is!

Someone else on the forum put it really well... "this isn't like AA, where you have to turn in your chip and start over from square one". Don't beat yourself up, just keep trying. You'll find that sweet-spot eventually.
