I can't stand the chemical/perfume taste. The ones that work for me for the most part come from Tasty Vapor, Ms. T's, Freedomsmoke USA and nhaler. Keep trying or DIY. They say it helps to open the bottle for a few hours to get rid of the perfume taste, I haven't tried that yet. I usually just give them away or toss them.

Hey Doberz - don't despair. I too, have just started back up after being cig free since 11-05-09. What's helped me keep the smoking down is that I had to up the nic to 24-30mg. (I was down to 8-3mg :(). Since I DIY - it's easier for me to adjust the nic, and flavors as needed.

You'll get back on track. Just don't do what I did today - I had a cig in one hand and my Saber in the other alternating smoke, vape, smoke, vape. Geeze, that was pitiful:p

i know i have had a few analogs, even bought a pack when my battery died and i had to go 6 hours (i know, like A LIFETIME) without a PV. I smoked 2 analogs and went right back to PV. I have the pack here at my desk and smoke maybe one a day (just an excuse to go outside). I have definitely kicked my foundational addiction - but sometimes i smell a cigarette and REALLY want one. Also, seeing a long .... on the ground drives me crazy. I have no idea why, but i am filled with a desire to smoke it even more than seeing a never been lit analog. weird, huh? anyway - i don't think i'll ever find myself never wanting a cig - there are going to be those moments. the trick is, realizing your brain has associated relaxation with analogs for numerous years. sometimes, i find myself wanting a cigarette, and if i can just grab my PV first, and pull some real big drags with some high nic juice, the craving subsides.

I have not had any problems with a chemical/perfume flavor. You could try vaperite.com's organic juice line - all VG, all organic flavoring. Unless nicotine can taste like a chemical, i don't think you could go wrong.

I can't stand the "chemically-sweet" taste either. When I first switched to e-cigs, I bought e-liquids that were supposed to taste like various brands of analogs - they don't. I found that e-liquids with some flavor cover up the chemical taste. I finally landed on Johnson Creek and I haven't looked back. I use mostly their Tenn Cured and occasionally JC Original. However, everyone has their favorite flavors, so you may or may not like the JC stuff. I also recommend that you try different atomizers and cartomizers because they are all different in terms of vapor (amount), flavor, and TH. Good luck! Keep trying - it's worth it.

I'm not really getting the chemical taste anymore. The issue for me now is finding a strong, bold flavor that isn't overwhelming. I've been on the pif thread so I'll be getting to try about 10 new juices in the coming week. I'm bound to find something good! For now I'm puffing on Backwoods Melontabacco. It's alright, just not strong enough on the flavor.

Oh, and yesterday was my first full day without an analog since June. :) Wasn't that bad till I laid down to go to bed. I just power puffed on my ego till the craving went away.

I am trying to quit. I never really put any real effort into quitting I sort of had the attitude that if I quit I quit and eh it never happened. Now I am actually putting the effort into quitting and i'm doing great. The best advice I have gotten is not to think about it. It helped me a lot. I'm not analog free I keep going 6 days then cave in have a cigarette but I am feeling more and more confident that I can quit now. Not thinking about it has been really good advice. Good luck.

Haven't had a smoke since July 10. Last weekend I got into the van at work and there was a pack of marl. Mediums that someone left in there.
I actually pulled one out and stuck it in my mouth. after reading so many people post about how bad they tatse I wanted to see for myself.

Then I realized I didn't have a lighter and no way to light it. Just put it down and went about my business. Told my two coworkers about it and they didn't ream me, but chided me about falling off the wagon, Felt good to see they support me vaping instead of smoking.

Doberz have you tried using a LR atty on the Ego? I just stared last noght and amazed at the amount of vapor I get dripping with it.
Dripping with the standard attys I would just go a drop at a time so as not to flood and get a lot of draws off of it. Now with the LR atty I get big clouds every hit but have to drip 3-4 drops and get less than 10 hits just as stated in most posts.
I am able to take a good draw and do a lung hit and still see a lot of vapor when I exhale. That didn't happen, for me, with the standard atty unless it was working at maximum efficiency.

I'm loving the performance wit the LR but also see going through juice at a faster rate

I haven't tried a LR atty yet, sadly. And I just spent 35$ on some new normal 510 atty's so I'll have to wait to try an LR. But next time I need some new ones I'll keep that in mind.

I can't wait to try the new juices I'll be getting from the pif thread. I'm happy there's a way to get rid of stuff I don't like too much, for new things. It costs too much to keep spending 20-30$ an order with places just to find out I don't really like their juice.

Anyways, all is good. Three days down! Happy Vaping everyone!

I agree with everyone here. I don't think there are too many here that haven't had the thought of smoking a real cig. I'm beginning to think that much of the guilt we all sometimes feel is that non-smokers look at it as all or nothing and if you slip up you are a failure. All I can say is :censored: I'm a little over two months away since my last one and I've had the urge on a few occasions, mostly when my husband... perturbed me. I have a bottle of 36 mg that I save for those times and it really has helped. Also, I read a post on here about direct inhaling instead of sucking the vapor in your mouth and then inhaling. Believe it or not, learning how to do that kind of helped with the "full lung" feeling too.

Back in July, a friend of mine forgot her pack of cigs at my place - there were only two left but those suckers are still sitting in a drawer with her lighter. Finding the method that worked for me with e-cigs has kept me from being interested in those two lone analogs - although being about three months old now, they might taste nasty enough to stop me for good!

I feel bad because I slipped last night after being analog free for over a month. We went to a friend's birthday party, we were drinking and my box mod decided to die on me. I tried to hold out but after that 3rd beer I needed SOMETHING. I think I smoked about 3 or 4 analogs while we were there. :(

Do you feel the need to go out an buy a pack now? If not, I think you did good. :)

Look, the main thing is how much less carcinogenic material you are putting in your body. A couple analogs won't kill you. The thing is the nicotine. You saw how bad the analogs tasted. They didn't do it for you. It's in your head.

If this makes you feel better, I quit cold turkey on Jan25 and was tobacco free until Thursday. That day I didn't enjoy them and I felt terrible for having caved. Like really really bad. Disappointed. Friday I wanted one when I woke up. By Saturday having a smoke felt like hitting a home run. That is how insidious nicotine is.

So I am really looking forward to my supplies showing up in the mail, because I do not want to use tobacco anymore, even if I'm willing to remain addicted to nicotine for the time being.

    No.
If anything I have less of a desire to smoke an analog now.
Truthfully, the only reason I only smoked 3 or 4 as opposed to my usual half a pack or more was because they tasted so horrid after strictly vaping for the last month. Even my worst e-juice would have tasted better to me at that point. I just didn't have a live battery.
