I do wish V4L could narrow the selections down to a top 10, then post a poll. I feel like too many good entries are going to get lost in the shuffle.

Well that is kind of the point of doing this... there are way too many and some good ones WILL get lost in the shuffle! The more eyes that go through it and call attention to the best, the less likely to miss one... right?

When we narrow the field and Mark and Steve have added their input we will be posting a poll for the finalists. I know this is not a perfect way, but given the sheer volume of submissions (What is it, like 33 pages?) Steve really needed help with this. Thanks to those of you who have taken the time to read through and share your favorites with me. I know the boys will appreciate it. ;)

Thanks too to The Tout who is trying to condense all the submissions into a more easily read page. ;)

Invaluable advice, Sky-Guy. Ok - not invaluable, someone pays you for it on a regular basis - but worth infinitely more than you're being compensated for. ;)

I liked "Kick Some Butts" but it doesn't play to your Point #2 well. I'm on the fence there and I'm not sure I can entirely get behind your Point #2. It's marketing and PR's job to sell the "solution" - FUD is a standard objection to the sale that needs to be overcome in that step. In theory I agree entirely with your Point #2 - but in practice, I'd have to wonder what I'm paying my marketing and PR people for if they can't overcome something so basic.

Would you classify "Kick Some Butts" as implied or stated literally?

I like "Kick Some Butts" ( or better yet- "Kick .... w/VK")... it implies quitting. Just don't match it with a pic of an ashtry full of cig buts and a red circle with a line thru it... sry, that smacks of late nite infomercial claims.
In deed "overcoming something so basic" is what we do. We take A LOT of things into consideration and develop a plan and stratagy with an understood goal in mind... a slogan being only a part of it.
Picking your companys slogan from a contest can be dangerous... like building an attractive house without a solid foundation or an archer executing a great shot, but hitting the wrong target.

Agreed. I voted above simply because it seemed sad to just throw my hands up after so long with the mega thread... but yeah, I only made it about 8 pages in before and the submissions started sort of repeating (unintentional) and I got totally cross eyed and weary.

I think it would have been much better if the V4L staff would have picked maybe 10-20 favorites and then perhaps done a poll.

Who knows, maybe it's not too late to do it that way?

We are submitting our lists of favorites Birdy; I've got my list which I will give to Steve today. But we're also going to consider the group input. Fortunately, nearly all my favorites have been mentioned on this thread, so I'm already thinking in tune with most of you. ;)

Personally, the ones I like best are plays on the name, either V4L or VK. I didn't really like the "...." ones, just because others have already used similar slogans, both other e-cig suppliers, and of course all the pharmaceuticals. Besides, it's too obvious. I go for originality. And of course, I kept in mind that we can't make specific medical claims, and we don't want to add to the (unfair and inaccurate) charges of marketing e-cigs to kids.

Whatever you guys decide is going to be great. You have a lot of very creative customers & submissions to choose from :).

sigh, I know. It's frustrating because the benefits we all know we're getting from vaping and the terrific variety of flavors V4L offers are two of the strongest points you could make. And we just can't. grrr.

btw- The new avatar makes me keep thinking you're TropicalBob :D

My eyes are throbbing... I just re-read every post again... no wonder they want our help to whittle it down!

Obviously, I am partial to my own submissions, so here are my five favorites
not submitted by me first:

1) I always liked this one because it says it all!

Vapor4Life.... liberty and the pursuit of happiness
:)

2) I think this one would make a great bumper sticker:

The only thing in my ashtray is change. Vapor4Life

3) This is an awesome graphic!

attachment.php

and while DaShiVa did make some slight changes, trs did post this one first, so I think they both deserve credit:
Why smoke till death when you can vape4life

4)
This is a clever, concise, yet mysterious logo which could garner a lot of curiosity:

With a nod to Birdy for suggesting that the graphic remain in the "<3" format to reflect the online moniker of a heart, as well as adding the website below it (so those curious folk could follow their curiosity).

5) A lot has been said about making unsubstantiated health claims, but I think this slogan is fabulous in that the slogan itself really captures what I think all of us vapers truly feel now... while giving smokers something to think about... while using a very common turn of phrase that says it all without making any false claims. So simple, yet so perfect.

There's life after cigarettes - Vapor4Life

6)
Okay, and one more honorable mention, as a lot of work went into this design, and I especially like the logo on the back of the e-cig with the positive/negative ends:
TSHIRT ENTRY

FRONT

BACK
"Breathe Easy"

"Keep Smilin'"

And finally, I have to add to my own tally with MY five favorite submissions (and thanks so much to all of you who have nominated me!! I really appreciate it!):

Vapor2day
Vapor2morrow
Vapor4Life

If I could've spent the time re-doing this (I have no graphic expertise, I just did this with Microsoft Paint!), I think I would've definitely made all of the V's orange too, as mentioned below:
V4L.JPG

> another design option is to make the "v"s in Flavor, Value and Service all orange, too

These haven't been mentioned yet, so I wanted to give them another day in the sun :)

Savor Life: Vapor4Life

I vote for Viv Savage JUST for the mere effort and dedication to read and review every post..... PROPS man serious Props. and his slogan seems to be the most popular

Thanks, Dude! But as you can see, I'm not the only one. I just know that we all thought once we posted our ideas it would be in the hands of the Powers That Be (I was actually hoping they were checking daily and jotting down their favorites along the way)... but since we're doing it this way, while I was obviously happy to already have garnered attention on my submissions, I just wanted to make sure I gave consideration to everyone else's as well... everybody who made the effort and took the time to submit deserves a fair shake!

You have been a wonderful friend to me thru the years. Recently I heard from a few people that you were doing bad things to me without my knowlage. I know, you warned me to begin with........but nobody ever sees the bad stuff going into the relationship. I just thought "Don't we look good together?", but I can no longer sit here and let you do this to me. I wrote you this letter to say "I've moved on.......I've found someone else." It's name is Vapor4life. It satisfies me, in that way I need......without all the damage. Please understand, I never planned it this way......We just found each other on the internet one day. I just feel like Vapor4Life is so much better for me. You understand, we can never see each other again....... right?

Signed,
John Q. Vaper
