I got mine from .de, other posts I have seen are by folks who have happily purchased stuff from .ru (no idea about shipping times though)

As with everything Semovar, you can adjust the sticker so the control head points in whatever direction you wants, if I remember you just remove the base, loosen the screw on the side the control head attaches to, then attach the control head and point it in the direction you want it to face, then tighten the screw again.

Okay, you have one? Are you happy? Do you actually use it? They are not cheap by any means. Just trying to be smart with vape budget.

I dont see the big advantage to the hybrid adapter? I've got one & a 3.1, but using that prevents me from using any other tank unless I carry the top cap with me. And I didnt see any difference in vape? (510 cap + 3.1, vs Hybrid + 3.1) Am I missing something?

Bill and I both experienced the difference with the Hybrid adapter as did Ref and Thrasher. I was going to sell my Semovar immediatley after comparing with the Provari (switching out 510 toppers back and forth, the Provari gave a "stronger" vape, volt to volt, topper to topper comparison ) although the Semovar is a "smoother" or some may say "quieter" vape.

Bill talked me into holding on to it until I tried it with the Hybrid adapter and the kayfun 3.1. I did and I compared the two ( having to use different kayfuns this time but having the exact coil and cotton and juice in two different toppers.

It may not be a huge difference, but there was a difference and this comparison made me put my Provari's aside (3 of them) and buy a second Semovar with Hybrid adapter. ......... Note: I tested this with other vapers so hopefully any change of vape or taste was not just "in my head" which we all have experienced at one time or another. Another note: I am one of those people that can taste the difference in the Provari and most all other regulated mods which is why I bought a few for the household.

Im still not selling the Provaris, but at the same time, they have not been used except for "juice testors and occasional dripping" since I screwed on the Hybrid adapter.

I have heard what Bill and Thrasher have both said about the Taifun being "a tad better" than the kayfun, but I have yet to try one. If I tried it and found that to be a better vape, I would probably abandon the Semovars for the Provaris......who knows.

But before I get the taifun, I was sorta waiting on the kayfun 4.0 that is reportedly being released this spring (and use's the Hybrid adapter again). Its rumored to be a "game changer", but then again, folks always say that sort of thing.

My two cents. Im just in a good place right now, and like Bill, Im a juice maker and really try to push my vape to the best possible "convenient" vape I can get.

EDIT: I have some Russians and kayfun lites and wont use them. Gotta have the Hybrid adapter. Just me..

Vaperev.com has the Semovar in stock for $215. $20 each for the 18350, 18500, and hybrid. So, $275, guessing from prior purchases $10 for fedex ground, $15 for fedex priority.

Vaperev to my knowledge never has had the semi polished Semo, which is whatI wanted. It matches the Kayfun 3.0 and Kayfun 3.1 unless thers something Im missing....... which is possible

Not trying to words in Refs mouth, but Ive read everything he has said about the sticker evedr since he bought it and he really likes his due to the size and pocketability. Another semo user somewhere in the forums has to have a sticker because he works on a ship and needed it to not roll around and seemed to really like his. I havent used one but have been pretty close to pulling the trigger on one. It is expensive for what it is though, then again, I paid an extra hundred dollars for two extra tubes and a hybrid adapter....:p

I think that Vaperev calls the semi polished brushed and Cloud Nine calls them semi-polished. I think they are the same finish, with just two very confusing names. I have not ordered from Vaperev (not a Semo anyway), so I'm not 100% certain about that, but that's my understanding.

To make matters even worse, the relatively new (to the U.S.) Expromizer topper is a combination of the kayfun and Taifun. I've watched several reviews now, and I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger (soon as I finish my shop). kayfun base, and chimney screw in tube with Taifun tube (connected to top), fills like the Taifun and has air holes (adjustable on the Expromizer - not on the Taifun) like the Taifun, but with AFC. And it's only like 50 Euros! Heard it vapes as good, if not better than the other two.

The Taifun clones, i.e., the HCigar is identical to the real McCoy. I'd start there for $50, and see if you like it. I love it.

I can't wait for the K4.0 either. This spring? Yeah, next 90 days. It's going through the patent process now. We shall see.

I agree 100% with everything you wrote, Mr. Bond!!!

I got mine from vaperev and it was semi-polished (brushed). I remember they only had two choices at the time and the other was polished IIRC. TO get us confused even more here is the list of finishes from svoemesto.de.

Surfaces

Alpha: sand/ ceramic blasted matte
Beta: sand blasted matte
Gamma: brushed and coated
Delta: polished
Brushed

Hey Mr. Bond,I just got the 18500 tube from vaperev and it matches my 3.1 (brushed).I don't know if that is the same as semi polished, but it ain't a chrome fingerprint magnet and it ain't matte.

I just looked on the vaperev site. Thats the first time Ive seen something other than the matte finish base mod in stock. In the past they were either out of stock or just a matte.

Bills right, the semi polished is the same as a brushed.

I use the 18500 size as well most of the time. I just like that size for some reason.

So Arnold (may I call you Arnold?).....how are you liking your Semo ? (any one else here know why I'm calling him Arnold ?)..:toast:

I will say I think the Taifun GT has a little but better vape vs the kayfun's. I've got a Taifun clone and love it to death! Use it 90% of the time.

I've got kayfun clones and a real (authentic) kayfun lite plus (which DOES whistle) and they all vape awesome, but I think the Taifun GT vapes a little bit better.

Try the clone of the Taifun GT, you'll be hooked.

I've seen the expromizer to, and I'd like to try one but not for $90 USD. Looks promising.

Brushed seems to also be called Epsilon. Such confusion is not helpful. What I really wanted was Delta - polished and shiny, but completely unobtainium at this time.

Arnold Ziffel? Arnold did understand English, so could be.

I have one, I am happy, I use it constantly.
Objectively speaking, it is not worth the money, it is very expensive for what it is. Having said that however, I love mine and the way it compactifies my Semo and am very glad I purchased it (even though a small part of me feels somewhat overcharged).

Well, thank you kindly for that review. I do want to compact my device, want it to be more pocketable, more stable on a desk, and look a little less like a sex toy - given that I stick it in my mouth. Off to find one.
As for feeling overcharged, I paid $10 for a red "Makrolon" display window, and another $10 for a red "Makrolon" tank window for my KFL+. Now that is a major pimp my vape tax.
